I feel you on the Spanx hate! Do what everyone else says, drink lots of fluids, avoid salt. Get some diuretic greens in, maybe? like parsley, dandelion greens (it comes in a tea, too) to get rid of excess fluid.

I want to try lifting at some point, but right now I just do Pilates. If you do the exercises consistently, correctly, & often, you'll tone up. Don't eat as though you're lifting, though (i.e. you'll still need to eat at maintenance, don't go nuts)

if by "pigging out" you mean "getting shcwasty" :drinker: but for real, no, I've had enough over-indulgence over Christmas! Time to get back on track as much as possible

I'm more of an hourglass, but when I was a bit heavier I had too much extra fat on my thighs, hips. Lose weight (it'll reduce size all over, but if you're a pear, you'll still be a pear) & incorporate strength exercises. Personally, I've had success with Pilates--- we do leg work in every class, using orbits, the ball,…

My bf is 6'2" & he likes tall girls? He told me he wouldn't mind a girl over 6' (hypothetically, of course  since I'm 5'7") But yeah, dudes who prefer taller women are out there!
-
I'm personally not about the really ripped look on dudes--- my preference swings from a bit "cuddly", let's say, & big all over (tall, big arms, a belly that's a bit squishier), to a guy who's very lean & lanky. The cultivated muscles look just doesn't appeal to me. BUT yeah, what everyone else said... you're going to get…

I think we all know what "good/bad" means in this context, just food that surprised us when we first logged it? (I see there's already shaping up to be an argument over how no food is inherently "bad", which I agree with, but clearly that's not what the OP means  ) My surprise was avocados---I knew they were fatty…

6" heels are REALLY high, in my opinion. The style lately is crazy---like, huge platform, pointy 5+ inch heel---just, no. I'm pretty fashion conscious, but I think it's crazy that women feel like they need to wear these. Find a more practical-sized heel if they're hurting you.

I use this: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/garden-of-life-raw-protein-original-622-g-powder/gu-7020?sourceType=sc&source=FG&adGroup=40-60&keyword=GU-7020&cm_mmc=Google+Shopping-_-Product+Listing+Ads-_-40-60-_-GU-7020&gclid=CK-fhayTtbsCFclaMgodzEkAvg&gclsrc=aw.ds#.Uq8oqOLBP2k It's plant-based, vegan, etc. & 17 grams of…

For stovetop heating, you can generally just place food (bagged) in a pot of water until it boils.
-
haha I wouldn't be jealous if my significant other was chatting up someone attractive--- that's just part of life sometimes--- but if the woman said to me afterwards, "don't be jealous"? Oh, no :grumble:
-
Exactly, this isn't about chivalry or whatever---it's just common courtesy. I'm a woman, & if I saw anybody behind me struggling with a handful of packages, I'd open the door for them.
-
I mean yeah, I agree with that (photoshopping conceals the real appearance of low body fat...."); that's what I meant by "appear softer" in my original post. It just seemed like most people blamed photoshop for VS models thinness, & whether or not you (collective you) feels that their thinness is inspirational, they really…
-
bump! just started doing these, & I have the same problem--- feel it all in my knees, & the tops of my thighs. Maybe it's the toe-standing thing...
-
Quoting myself for a second to change my last sentence, having JUST looked at your pictures--- you ARE beautiful as you are; gorgeous, actually. I don't see the "bottom heavy" thing you're talking about at all. Relax, relax, relax!!
-
Honestly? All the photoshop you guys are talking about is just used to make VS models appear softer, with more even skin, sometimes a fake-looking background. Sometimes they change the colors of the *kitten* they're wearing. The retouching DOESN'T alter their bodies that much. Sorry if that makes everyone feel bad, but…

banana pancakes--- mash them up with some eggs, add vanilla extract, nutmeg, flour (if you want) OR protein powder, maybe some peanut butter, & then pour in batches into the frying pan
-
You can add me if you want-- I'm 26, was originally looking to lose about 10-15 pounds & am almost at goal. I walk a lot & do Pilates with a strength training component, & am currently set at 1200 calories (although I often go over!!)
-
You look fantastic!!

bump bump

She looks hot. This isn't the same as the other mom, who captioned it with "What's your excuse?" (which, I can see the "fat-shaming" argument there, even if I don't necessarily agree). This woman is just flaunting her body, & she has EVERY right to, because look at it!!
-
Yeah, this^ Dayum. Seriously, the reading comprehension around here sometimes, uh, leaves a lot to be desired... It's crazy how the first page is entirely focused on the one quote by the OP, which was OBVIOUSLY stated in the context of presenting 2 different viewpoints, & yes, she was being sarcastic.
-
Er, yeah, I get nauseous after taking vitamins sometimes, but it usually helps to take it with food. Almond milk & a banana. Just don't take it with water! But since you tried that already, maybe switch to the gummy kind!
-
I'm a vegetarian, but ya, it's hard to find a tasty, filling dinner for that amount! HOWEVER--- you can do tofu, stir fried with veggies (like someone else suggested) Spaghetti squash with red sauce (POMI chopped tomatoes with some pepper & garlic; this was part of my dinner last night!) Quiche! There's a stop & shop…
-
Bump, esp. for the Pilates question (Pilates is my main form of exercise, & I'm definitely stronger with more visible muscle! my instructor makes it TOUGH for us)
-
You had anorexia at 115, okay. That doesn't mean it's an "skeletal" weight for me. I've been losing weight in a healthy manner, & will continue to do so. I've been building muscle, so I understand that the number itself could be elusive for me now, which is fine. The post was asking about "goal weight" though. If you're…
-
Yeah, I mean, it's crude, so if you're offended by crude--- then I understand. But it doesn't mean old! And I don't think it's THAT crude, it's just shorthand at this point for "hot mom"
-
5'7" & my goal weight is somewhere between 115-118. Right now I'm 124 with more muscle than I used to have when I ~was~ in the 118 range, so my size is okay. At 130, I definitely looked...uh....let's say NOT as good as I could, haha. So it's definitely your build, where you carry weight, etc.

Depends if you got the runny nose, & all that--- I usually skip if I know I'm gonna be there with a tissue in my nose the whole time. But after that stage passes, no reason to not exercise
