You said there are several groups in your area. Try one.. If you don't, try another. I've been to 2 groups. One was fun people enjoying life and encouraging each other. The other was a group of gripy, mean, disgruntled people ragging on anyone and everyone. (At least that's what they did the one day I went.)

Was diagnosed.with fms, cfs, ra, oa, as well as continuing phn. Doctor said really no magic cure, just deal with the symptoms. Back in the day, potatoes and corn were counted as starch, along with bread. Carrots were treated more like a fruit, but weren't really considered same as fruit. Don't remember about peas.

Not offended. Can only answer for myself. Gained 60 pounds in 3 months while fighting PTSD. Finally lost it. 20 years later gained 60 pounds in 6 years whil unable to exercise cause of phn in my leg and a couple of years of frozen shoulder.

I bought mine at the dollar store. It works great and it's accurate. Kinda hard to read. Just trying to say you don't really need to spend a lot, but it might be easier if you do.
