  • I believe it's up to like a bajillion dollars to raise a child until they are 18....add to that the fact that they generally live with you longer than that, and then move back home with their family in tow...... If that doesn't cure ya, nothing will!
  • I agree with New Balance for wide. My favorite walking shoe is Gravity Defy. I'm on my second pair. They are also great for wide feet. Shock Absorbers in the heels. I just bought my husband a pair for work. He is on his feet all day. At first I got "the look" because he thought it was just another gimmick. He LOVES them…

  • I thought the HCG was 500 calories a day. And now you're "on" a diet that claims you will lose 4 to 9 pounds every week (at least by the quick google I did on the Jorge Cruise's Belly fat Cure. I sincerely hope after hanging around these boards a bit, you'll be ready to put in the work...eat less, move more. That's what…
  • Free Krispy Kreme donut for talking like a pirate. :drinker:
  • What are you eating...before and after your workout. I personally don't think it's an accomplishment. I think it's a sign something isn't right. Either you pushed yourself too hard, or you pushed yourself too hard for the fuel you're giving your body. Did you drink any water during that hour long workout? How about before?…
  • MFP has set your calories based on your age, weight, activity level, how much you wish to lose per week. The math is already done for you. I don't eat all the calories back because I assume the food calories are under estimated, and the exercise calories are over-estimated.
  • I agree. You can put absolutely no stock in this weigh-in. You need to be on the same scale, the same time of day, and wearing exactly the ame thing (nekkid is easiest IF you're weighing at home, and not in the doctor's office or a cousin's home. :P ) How do you feel? How do your clothes fit? Far more accurate guidelines…
  • Buy your candy the day of trick or treat, dump the leftovers into the bag of the last trick or treater. Honestly, I wouldn't give carrots. Not so much for fear of vandalism, but because you would probably be wasting your money. Yes it's better for the kids, but carrots are not what Halloween is about. Another "trick" I use…
  • The first thing that came to mind was Go Bites. Any more information you can give? Were they fruit? Nuts? Chocolate? Granola? Anything?? lol
  • AMAZING! Best wishes for quick recovery. I will be reading your blog and following for continued inspiration. Thank you! :flowerforyou:
  • I think the shorter hair makes you look younger, and your neck look soooo graceful and long. Even if you decide you don't love the exact style, I think the shorter hair is great on you. You have a beautiful face, and the hair was hiding it before.
  • I agree! Your profile pic says it all. :flowerforyou:
  • Are you getting enough fat in your diet?
  • With those eyes, who cares? I like the "stubble" goatee. However, to be a true metrosexual, you need to shave the neck and non-goatee area closer.
  • I totally get what you're saying! It's ridiculous! And yet men can buy pretty much any pair of pants, any suit, any shirt, and the size does not vary. I do have to say though, I once knew a [very wealthy] woman who had her seamstress tear out all sizes and put size 10 on everything. I often wondered if she wore her clothes…
  • I had never heard of these, and they sounded wonderful, so I did a quick search. I have no idea who the person(s) is who wrote this, so take it for what you will. They really do seem very high in sugar though, especiallly with yogurt and fruit added for your "healthy" breakfast.…
  • If you're talking about the frozen, breaded ones, I generally bake those. I don't know about grilling. I think they'r already fully ooked though. Not sure
  • If you are going to ride every day, I can't recommend strongly enough you invest in a pair of really good padded bicycle shorts. You won't believe the difference!
  • Here are a couple of my favorites. *Creamy Quinoa* Ingredients: 1 cup quinoa Generous pinch of fine sea salt 1 ½ cups water 1 cup fat-free evaporated milk 2 T. flaxseed meal 4 t. honey 1 t. vanilla extract 0r ½ t. almond extract 1 cup fat-free milk 8 t. chopped nuts/seeds (see options below) Nut/Seed options: Spanish…
  • Normally I would say you haven't logged enough to be able to give you an intelligent opinion. However, just the fact that your calories are set at 650 is more than enough. I really hope you'll spend some time reading these forums, as well as doing some research. I am normally in the whatever works for you camp. However,…
  • WOW! There really are no words. You both look fantastic!!! And you'll still make a cute Santa.
  • I cube them, add a little olive oil and seasonings, and roast them. Also cook and then mash with a little brown sugar or maple sugar, top with crushed pecans. There are some awesome butternut squash soup recipes out there.
  • Make a juicy burger with lean beef and/or lean turkey. Bake some sweet potato fries, or turnips, green beans, whatever veggie you wish to sub for fries. Even have red potatoes cubed and roasted if nothing else will do...just watch portion.
  • My question exactly. Here is a quote from what the OP posted: Following a plan with fewer than 1,000 calories a day concerns Moore. "The plan yields about 1,000 calories a day which has the ability to lower metabolism so when you revert back to normal eating, you regain weight even quicker." ummmm, think I'll pass.
  • Don't really know enough about you, but this may be worth a read. It may fit you, it may not. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/core_march_8.htm Here's a little bit from the article: Not only has her metabolism matched her intake, her body has maximized production of enzymes that are designed to help store any additional…
  • You may want to check the stats on your turkey bacon. Generally speaking it has the same fat and calories as actual bacon, and more sodium. I like the "recipe" though.
  • I  you. You always make me smile...and you also have really good information. Thank you. :flowerforyou:
