Sorry it took so long to answer this, but YES. We're awesome!

I hear ya! I've always been on the heavier side. Always. As in, since I was 8 or 9 years old (I'm now 23). I've always been tall for my age on top of being heavy, so I always felt like I generally took up a lot of space lol. For most of my life I was either picked on by others, or harshly judged by myself. Just recently I…

I too am re-starting my journey here. Always looking to make more friends and encourage each other :)

I graduated college last May and did MFP during my senior year. I totally understand what you mean about balancing healthy life and enjoying yourself. It's so hard at school when so many poor food choices are staring you in the face! But somehow I got through it (somewhat) successfully. I always love offering support so…

Please feel free to add me. I'm also looking to give this a go. This is my third "first day" on MFP and hoping to make it stick the way it did the first time. Anyway, I'd love to give some support! xx

Good luck and welcome! I just graduated college myself but there are a LOT of college aged people on here (which makes me very happy). You can do it! Feel free to add me, I've finally made my way back to this site after a brief dieting hiatus

Welcome and good luck! I'll send a friend request right now! :flowerforyou:

 WOW. I don't even know what to say to that one. My first guess would also be that she's jealous (I know that sounds petty but usually it's true). She could hide your posts or....I don't know, IGNORE THEM. I know she's your best friend, but take it from someone who has had a parade of sh*tty best friends, it's not…

First of all, congrats on the wedding! Very, very exciting! Also, welcome to mfp! I felt the same way you did on my first day - that first time logging my calories and workout was like me turning over a new leaf. Just logging felt great! Feel free to add me, I love giving support to people :)

Welcome aboard! I agree before I joined I hated counting calories, but now I feel like it really helps by holding me accountable for everything. It's also one hell of a lesson in nutrition haha. Good luck meeting the rest of your goal, there are so many supportive people on this site :)

So happy for you both!

Keeping it from your family sounds like a great idea! It must be such great motivation to imagine everyone's reactions. Best of luck to you and your wife :)

I'm totally with you. I guess I forgot to mention that for the past few years I was totally against scales; they just cause unnecessary amounts of stress and self-loathing. I weighed myself once every few months and focused more on how I *felt*. So I totally get what you're saying. But once I joined this site and noticed…

Thanks everybody! Your input and information helped a lot! I'm going to try cutting back on stress, hopefully between that and my longer workouts and healthier eating I will see some freaking progress this week!

I've heard a lot of women on here talking about how changing their diet/exercise regimen causes their period to arrive late (once or twice, but then it straightens itself out). I personally started spotting (even though I'm on BC) and I've been told it has to do with how drastically I've changed my daily routine. Then…

YES! That's awesome! Can't wait to break into the wonderful world of mediums! Keep going and congrats on that awesome nsv!

Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou: I've been on here for about a month and loving the support. This website has really helped me track what I eat and do weight loss the right way. Feel free to add :) And good luck on your journey!!
