  • Day 1820 and going strong! Feel free to add me.
  • Definitely, there are plenty of benefits of exercise even if you don't eat healthy. I exercise for energy, strength, etc. I especially hit it hard if I plan on eating unhealthy stuff, haha. From a purely personal opinion - I can exercise and lose weight on an unhealthy diet, I just don't feel very good overall. Eating out…
  • I'm having the same issue
  • Enjoying it! Thankfully, I live near a nature/cycling trail and there are lots of pokestops and gyms right near my house. It's so hot, I wouldn't normally venture out, but I have been for pokemon! I'm level 13 and working on powering up my Vaporeon, she's around 1200 right now, but I see pokemon in the 1500-1900 range all…

  • I'm totally a night snacker. I totally just leave calories for my night snack and exercise for a little more. I usually have about 500 cals to eat. I still portion and weigh all my food for snacks. I like to munch on a serving of popcorn, makes me feel like I'm eating more just because it takes longer to eat it. Lol Like…
  • I hated the following: Going to a crowded restaurant or somewhere with lots of chairs/tables and worrying I couldn't squeeze between them or being seated at a booth I couldn't fit into. Shopping in the plus size section, I hated feeling like my clothing choices were limited to what looked like something an 80 year old…
  • Pre-pregnancy, I was 275, approved to lose weight during pregnancy (except last trimester), hovered around 270 at the end. 2 weeks after birth I was about 240. Shot up to 292 over the following year after baby. When he was about a year and a half old, I started on the weight loss journey. I've lost 123 lbs in about 3 years…
  • Another vote for Dark Matter
  • I just noticed the last week that it's trying to double enter some of my food logs, like in FitBit, I'll have two snack sections when there should only be one. I delete the one entry and then it looks OK again.
  • I'm lucky to burn 300 calories in a 30-35 min jog. And the more weight you lose and the more efficient your body becomes at the exercise, the less calories you'll burn.
  • This is also my Valentine's Day date with the husband tomorrow night! Super excited

  • I was a size 22-24 at my highest and I sold most of my clothes 18-24 surprisingly at a yard sale I had in my front yard this past summer. I donated the rest.
  • Wow, that's fantastic! Wishing you well for future years to come!
  • You can tell and way to go!!! My stomach like hoards all the fat, first to gain it and last place to lose it. So although I feel like I'm not making much progress, that's def not true. I know it's hard for us to get out of that mindset.
  • Change your activity level to whichever setting fits your lifestyle- lightly active or active. Log purposeful exercise outside of your daily norm. I would say if I took a 30 minute power walk that I didn't normally do, I'd log that as exercise. I hope that makes sense.
  • I've been big since I was a child. I can't remember being a normal size. I was never even able to miss it. You can see it in my pictures as a child. I never understood since my family was all so small/slender and I was even a very active child. I just thought I was simply different and my body worked differently. Well,…
  • Rock on! I play volleyball as well. I was in a league, but I only get out to play drop-in Friday nights now. I play for hours though
  • I've been sick for almost 2 and a half weeks, I haven't been able to kick the cough and congestion. I've been taking it easy and I'm on antibiotics. I feel sort of weak. I didn't gain any weight during the holidays, but I didn't lose either. I'll call that a win. Lol I want to feel strong and happy again! For January 1.…
  • Oh, I only use it in coffee. If I baked with it or something, I'd add it.
  • I log the 2% or whole milk I put in the coffee since I use splenda. The 5 calories in a cup is negligent to me, never had any issues staying on track because I didn't log 5-10 calories. I know the little things add up, so I track other things that I wouldn't normally eat. Today I tried a small bite of someone's beet garlic…
  • Since you've lost that much weight and you are planning to lose more, here is a good forum post on adaptive thermogenesis and why maintenance breaks/ and strength training help combat some of the issues that occur with adaptive thermogenesis.…
  • Same thing happened to me. I used to be able to leave the windows open in winter (30-40 degrees) and run a fan. 65 degrees was a great temp in the house. I was like a furnace when I was obese. I lost 118 lbs so far. As I lost weight, I started freezing. Like 71-72 degrees is ideal temp in the house now, but I still will…
  • Good news, my wrist doesn't hurt at all, I'm keeping it in a wrist brace still. I'll do squats tonight and some cardio or something. I plan on trying 5x5 at my next normal session next Tues while wearing the braces for support. We'll see how it goes.
  • This past Saturday I went to Ren Faire and grocery shopping- so I was pretty much moving from morning to night. Sunday rest day. Monday I hit the gym and jogged on the treadmill for awhile. Tuesday morning, my wrist was in some pain, but it wasn't too bad. I picked up a cheap wrist brace from CVS. SO I was like yeah, lemme…

  • Yesterday night was lift day Squat 5x5 95 lbs OHP 5x5 50 lbs (whew, #thestruggleisreal) Deadlift 1x5 110 lbs I've done more weight, but I skipped the DL last week, so I lowered it a bit. Tonight is either a play volleyball for a few hours or take a long bicycle ride night. Haven't decided yet.
  • Got a stomach virus Friday night, it was awful and violent. Recovered Sun/Mon. Forced myself to do SL 5x5 last night, but still felt a bit off/weak, so I scaled the weight back a little. Squat 5x5 95lbs Bench Press 5x5 70 lbs Bent Row 5x5 70 lbs Did some different variations of ab crunches in between a couple sets. Today…
  • Delayed onset muscle soreness
  • I was somewhat social before, I can be extroverted and introverted. But the main thing that losing 115 lbs has done for me is give me energy and more body confidence. So, now I go out more and do fun things because I just have more energy!
  • I went from every morning in the beginning and now I weight myself like a couple times a week. I've been at it for over 2 years now.
