  • Hi everyone! I'm so glad I've found this group! I'm currently on level 3 and haven't had the courage to attempt level 4 yet. I just love all of JM's DVDs and her podcasts. Right now I'm only doing the video 2-3 times a week along with lifting weights at the gym twice a week. Overall I've lost 42 lbs. from using MFP and the…
  • You will definitely get results. I have been doing the 30DS for 6 months, about 3 to 4 times a week, and then some jogging or the elliptical in between. And in the last 6 months I have lost 30 pounds. :))) Of course that is also with staying in my calorie limits. With the 30DS, I burn about 300 calories in the 25 minutes.…
  • I am doing them both now! I alternate level 3 of the 3DS and level 1 of the 6W6P throughout the week, taking a day off every few days. I've been doing the 3DS for a while now, a few months and have lost 26 pounds :) Now I want to really concentrate on my core so I threw in the 6 pack workout- I have been so sore!!!!! They…
  • I use my HRM to keep track of my average HR throughout my workout, to make sure I am staying in my target zone. That gives me a good idea of how many calories I've burned in order to make sure my body is getting enough fuel. The calories burned on the HRM isn't 100% accurate but I also use it with this site:…
  • I love it! Im finally on level 3 and I think all 3 levels have parts that are very difficult! Now, I mix it up and do different levels on different days. But I def recommend it, I have lost 20 pounds with Jillians help :)
  • Great article, lots of valuable info! Thanks!
  • Our girls are about the same ages. My 4 year old, Mia, was born in Jan 2007 and Hannah was born Sept 2010. Getting the weight off this time around is much harder! I feel like things are more chaotic and planning meals (healthy meals!) is tricky. I am determined to reach my goal weight to keep up with these little ladies…
  • I used to log it in as circuit training, general. When I got an HRM, I found that MFP was pretty off on the calories burned. Before I thought I was burning about 200 but really I burn over 400 some days! I still love the video, its a great way to burn lots of calories quick!
  • I've been doing 30 day shred for awhile now, yes, much longer than 30 days ;) I stayed on each level longer than 10 days because I felt like it took me longer to master one before going to the next. It's definitely an intense workout! I usually burn between 300 and 400 calories in the 25 minutes. I'd like to think its had…
  • 16 lbs to go!!!! I'm sure this club will be great support! Super job everyone! :flowerforyou:
  • Great advice, thanks!
  • I would also love to know some ideas! I am limping around for days after squats or lunges... thanks for posting this!
  • I have been told its best to work out in the am before you eat breakfast. Your body will burn more fat. I try to do this but I feel like I need a little something before I start. But I agree that if I really push myself after I've eaten, I feel so sick :/
  • My HRM usually says between 270 and 300 calories after level 2. The thing with this is that your heart rate goes up and down so much with this workout. I try to take my heart rate at least after each circuit, and usually after the cardio just to see how high my heart rate got. I think this is the best way to get the most…
  • The 3DS has helped me get an intense workout in, in a short amount of time each morning. But my weight loss has still been slow. I think the key is to remember to eat the calories that you burn, which is about 300 for me when I do the 3DS. I am hoping that since the weight loss is slow and gradual, with my learned healthy…
  • Congrats on your new bundle! Being a mommy is the BEST! I just had my second in September and discovered MFP soon after. I've lost 18 lbs so far! I'm sure you'll have no problem losing the weight :) Good luck!
  • That sounds delicious!!!
  • Do your best to stay on track in the future, we all have those days!!! Keep working out and make healthy choices. You'll do great! Try to up your water intake and pay attention to sodium and sugar, like processed foods. That should help!
  • Hmmm...let' see...your pants slowing sliding down when your doing jumping jacks! Your sock getting bunched up in your shoe when your running! Maybe we should just work out in the nude, lol!
  • Thanks for all the great advice! Since having the baby my skin has been out of control and in the past BC has really helped with that. I'm hoping to find something that helps with my skin and doesn't make me plump up :) But, of course, pregnancy would make me definitely gain weight! Ha!
  • I had the same problem. I discovered Murad Skin Perfecting lotion (you can get it at Sephora or online, check out Amazon). It has amazing reviews and I have had great results. It's even shrunk my pores and made my skin so much smoother and clearer. Now its a must every morning!
  • I have had the same problem. I was given advice to push through it (unless you think the pain is injury related). I did and within a few days my muscles felt much better. Make sure to stretch as much as you can before and after. You're doing different activiites and probably working different muscles. I do the 30 day shred…
  • This does make a lot of sense. Now I'm not as worried! I knew that muscle weighs more than fat but I didn't expect a change so fast. Thanks for the info!
  • Hello! We live in Hanover PA and are from Carroll County. Great to "meet" you!
  • Hi! I am in the same boat! I feel hungry all the time and since I'm home with the baby I have access to food all the time. I catch myself "grazing" throughout the day. Now that I'm keeping track of my food, I am seeing just how much I was eating. I was nursing my daughter for 4 months so make sure you take in enough…
  • Hi!! Yes we are all here to support you! I have only been on MFP for a week and I've felt very motivated and supported! You will get a lot of positive vibes from everyone. Best of luck, you can do it!
  • In my coffee I use splenda and about 2 tbsp of sugar free vanilla creamer. I can't stand black coffee either! I've noticed that the little bit of creamer is about 20 calories so not too bad, and it gives me some variety with all the flavors. Hope this helps!
  • Hello! I am new to this site and I'm from MD also! We have always lived in the Carroll County area and recently moved across the line into PA. Good luck to you!
