  • Calories/Serving size Protein Fiber ... and sodium, but you only asked for three, so those are my top three. :)
  • When you decide to have an "I don't care how many calories I eat" day and then unconsciously pull out your food scale anyway when preparing a meal.
  • I wholeheartedly agree with what others have been saying, it depends on many factors for what you need to maintain a weight of 130 lbs. I'm 5' 5", 52, mostly inactive (I do walk/run for an hour sporadically though) and just started in maintenance a month or so ago. I stay within my allotted 1500 calories during the week,…
  • Yes, I am still using MFP and will continue to do so for as long as this lovely website exists. :flowerforyou:
  • Every Friday after grocery shopping, I pick up Subway for our dinner. It's my one day of the week I get to have fast food. I usually get a 6" roast beef on Italian Herb & Cheese bread with pepperjack cheese, lettuce, baby spinach, pickles and mustard. I take that home and have it with a Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry. It comes out…
  • I keep weird hours so my 'lunch' happens when most people are eating their dinner. Anyway, today wasn't a typical meal, it was my youngest daughter's 23rd birthday so we took her out to our favorite Mexican restaurant and I baked a cake. So, this is what I had for 'lunch': Tortilla chips (still warm) and fresh salsa for an…
  • It was all MY doing, definitely. Growing up, we lived on a farm and had a huge garden. So, even though we were poor, there was always fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, chicken, pork and beef for us to eat. Mom came from a big family that was very poor as well and never knew when her next meal would be and if there would be…
  • When I started out at 195 lbs. last September, THAT WEIGHT was 120 lbs. It's what I weighed in high school and when we got married. As the months went by and I lost weight, THAT WEIGHT became the next number under 10 lbs. increments; 180, 170, 160, etc. Now that I'm closer to my original THAT WEIGHT goal at 131 lbs., I've…
  • I weigh my bananas without the skin. Apples I slice up and weigh sans core, stem, etc. & grapes I weigh sans stems as well. I always try to weigh only what I'm actually going to consume. The only thing I haven't done this with is steak. I just go by the package weight. BUT, I've seriously considered weighing the leftover…
  • Every Friday I buy a few Lotto tickets when I get groceries. Quite often the same employee that has worked at the customer service desk for years sells them to me. One day a few weeks ago, out of the blue she says, "You've lost a lot of weight haven't you? You look great, how'd you do it?" Made my day! Of course I told her…

ICBINB light 1 Dove dark chocolate Promise 1-2 Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry sodas I have a lot of other staples that appear quite often, but I've had the above as a part of my daily diet for months.
  • Age: 52 Height: 5' 5" SW: 195 CW: 134.2 GW: 120-125 But, I might decide to start maintenance at 130. We'll see... Lost most of my weight with very little exercise, calorie deficit only. But I started brisk walking/Jogging intervals a couple weeks ago 3-4 days a week for 60 minutes.
  • The only thing I've given up completely is regular soda. I used to drink a 6 pack of 20 oz RC Cola bottles, if not more, a day. Now I keep a 1.5 L jug of water with me at all times and try to drink at least two per day. I've added quite a few new things to my diet and lifestyle including: #1 Best addition, a digital…
  • I used Max Factor's Water Activated Pancake make-up for decades, I adore it! But, it's not available anymore in the States and it's been discontinued. I can still find it on eBay or Amazon, but it's way too expensive now. I can't afford to pay $35-50 for one package. :noway: I've tried similar alternatives, like…
  • Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup I made in the crockpot, dinner roll, butter and a Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper.
  • I loathe raw onions. Unless they're chopped up small in something like salsa. I like them grilled though and I love onion rings. BUT, if I bite into one and haven't bitten through completely so that the onion ends up slithering out of the crust like a tapeworm, I'm done. The only raw tomatoes I like are grape tomatoes in a…
  • I will occasionally have one of the lower calorie Lean Cuisines when I'm short on calories for the day. Some of them are quite tasty and despite the high sodium content, have a decent amount of protein. A few of my favorites are the Glazed Chicken, the Roasted Chicken & Garden Vegetables and the Grilled Chicken Primavera!…
  • It's early morning here now, but the delicious aroma of the oatmeal & raspberry dark chocolate muffins I just made cooling on the table is making me happy. :)
  • Moderation and portion control have been the biggest calorie cutting 'tricks' for me. I LOVE my kitchen scale! I still eat pretty much everything else I did before, I just weigh it all and only have one portion instead of 2-3. Plus, I have three 'meals' every 3-4 hrs. now and numerous healthy snacks in-between. It helps…
  • I like your style! I'm here every day, but I don't post much about my health/food activities. I do however actively hit the 'like' button on my friends' posts to help with encouragement. I've been known in the past to post an occasional 'Great job,' or other comments if I feel I can be helpful. But, I don't tell anyone…

  • In the main fridge; there's a bottle of mayo I keep on hand for my Son when he visits. Hubby & I can't stand the stuff, but he loves it. There's a couple leftover slices of Jack's Supreme pizza. That's Hubby's. Um, one piece of leftover lasagna I made last week and a jar of Hershey's Special Dark hot fudge ice cream…
  • I'm 5'5", 52 yrs. old, SW 195 lbs., CW 134.2 lbs.,1200 calories for a sedentary, 1.5 lb. loss per week. My weekly losses have been between 1-2 lbs. after an initial two week 10 lbs. loss. Switched a few weeks ago to a .5 lb. loss goal since I only have 10 lbs. or so to go before reaching my goal and was reset at 1270…
  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Rinse potatoes under cold water, dry, then stab a few times with a fork. Spray a piece of foil with butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray and roll a potato inside. Place wrapped potatoes in oven and bake for 90 minutes. They turn out fluffy and delicious for me every time. :)
  • I think jean shorts can be sexy for men to wear. Cut-offs (but not TOO short) are good for casual occasions or something like these that can be dressed up or down depending on the shirt and/or footwear. Especially if the man has muscular legs. :)
  • Crazy cat lady married to a crazy cat man! We love dogs though too. Our first 'baby' was a blue-tick German short-haired dog named Murdock. After he died we got an AKC registered Chocolate Lab named Roscoe. But before we got him as a puppy, we adopted two cats, brothers, from a co-worker. Tigger is a ginger striped tabby,…
  • Favorite Healthy Food - Greek Yogurt and Raspberries Special Treat Foods - Baked goods, such as cake, cookies, donuts, brownies, pie, pastries etc.. (especially cheesecake). Ice cream, full-size candy bars, wine, hard liquor, salt & vinegar chips and deep fried foods (onion rings, chicken, fish, breaded mushrooms, shrimp,…
  • I don't log spices (with the exception of cinnamon), salt, pepper and the butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray I use. I don't log my daily multi-vitamin & biotin supplement either, but I do make a 'food' note every day for them. I track everything else, even if it logs as '0' like my coffee and Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry.
  • Hi Doug (guessing your name is Doug from your ID?), I'm Karen from Michigan. This is my first (hopefully last o.O) time on MFP attempting a healthier lifestyle. I've done really well on the food part, but struggle with exercising. Need to step that part up big time. I could always use some more friends to help support each…
