I don't know much about any of these, but it sounds like alot. Isn't adipex a prescription? If so, does your dr. know you are taking all the other stuff? If you are using all of this and not getting any results, maybe your body can't handle the combo. Just be careful using all that over the counter stuff. Much of it is not…

I agree with the what seems to be most people's answer......depends on when and where. How much does come into it, too. I mean,if you have big "girls" and I can see to your belly button, that's probably a bit much, but otherwise, so what? And, all those hater B's and less (like me  ) are just jealous.

Songs from Phineas and Ferb. Lame, but catchy!

I love my feet. I have long, straight toes so they look great in sandals. My mom and sister both had hammer toes and have had to have surgery and still hate their toes, so I'm really happy I didn't have to go through all they've had to deal with. My husband likes my rear, which is the one thing I hate most. How funny is…

We met right out of HS. Got engaged 6 years later, when we were both 23. Married when 24. We'll be married 19 years this June.

Thanks for all the words of support, everyone! Lots of great ideas, I may try every one of them until something sticks. I'm planning to take my kids on a couple day trip to an indoor water park over Spring Break (1st week of April) and if being seen in a bathing suit doesn't motivate me to get my *kitten* in gear, nothing…

I'm hypothyroid due to having mine removed (cancer in 2002.) I've had a hard time losing weight, but done much better since starting MFP. Writing everyting down and having to be accountable and friends to motivate me helps alot. I'd lost almost 25 pounds, but gained some back during the holidays. Back on track now. We can…

I'm finding shopping for new clothes a little weird. I keep going for the bigger sizes and having to remind myself that the smaller, cuter stuff fits now. Does anyone else do this?
-
I use mine as a panini press, too. Also great for grilling fish, chicken....anything. Mine is small so good for when everyone else is eating something not-so-great, I can fix my food on the grill and not have so much clean up.

I completely agree. Keep up the good work, ignore their pettiness and go find some new, true friends.

Sounds like the pain I get with plantar fasciaitis (sp?) Arch supports help, but I recommend checking with your doctor to make sure.

I know I can't! I can't even run, I just plod along. It can be really hard to break the habit of being so self-critical. I've been there. Just try to remember to remind yourself of the positive twice as much as you think about the negative.

I know when I donate blood they always tell me to rest and avoid excersion. Granted, that's alot more than what they probably drew. I say take the day off, maybe just go for a walk, and be sure to drink lots of water.

Let me get this straight, you've completed 2 half-marahons, bettered your time each race, actually had the motivation to try in the first place, and all this is not good enough??? So you didn't get the time you wanted this race, you've completed quite alot and done more than most people! Celebrate your successes, keep…

Let's see one of some guy doing the dishes after he just made dinner and cleaned the house. That would make me hot!

I'm hypothyroid due to thyroid cancer and I find it harder to lose weight now than it was prior to my diagnosis. I'm still losing, just have to watch more carefully what I eat and be really consistent on the excercise. Having the right medication levels helps alot. According to my doctor, being over 40 is another strike.…

I haven't used on myself, but I have read lots of articles that say they are great for your back and core. Also, I just read a story in the newspaper where a classroom uses them for their students with ADHD and other learning issues. Having to balance on the ball (and being able to bounce on it) keeps the distracted part…

Depends on your taste-buds. If you are not really a big fan of fish, tilapia would be better for you since it is mcuh milder. Salmon, I believe, has more of the omega-3 fatty acids that are so good for us. Still, if you aren't a big fish eater and go with the tilapia, some of those fatty acids are better than none. And…

Making excercise part of a routine helps. You don't have to work up the desire to brush your teeth, it's just part of your routine, it has to be done. That being said, where is it written you HAVE to do the elliptical? If you really hate it, can you do some other type of excercise? Walk, swim, Zumba or fitness videos.....…

Didn't know about that site, that's a big help. Thanks!

Good for you! I'm a cancer survivor and have many family members who have battled cancer, so I've been a long-time supporter or Relay. I served on the planning committee for Relay here in Union County (Marysville, Ohio) ac ouple years ago and was head of the Luminary committee. Tons of work but so worth it!

I gave up on my fine, straight hair and just got it cut short.

Actually I have heard of too much excercising. Some people with eating disorders will exercise extreme amounts. I'm not saying you are in that category, just be careful, that's all. I agree with the idea of adding one thing at a time. If you push yourself too hard, you could get hurt and not be able to excercise at all,…

Yep, take your own snacks. Although, I'm violating that rule tomorrow. Going to a baseball game, and it just isn't baseball without a hot dog at the park. I'll allow for it in my calories, though, and get in some extra excercise to account for it.

I'm not sure I'd get going without my coffee. I guess that is the addiction thing, or maybe it's just psychological. Anything I've ever read said that a little was OK, one or two cups a day. All things in moderation.

Yep, it's his "issue" not yours. But communication will help. Let him know you are getting healthy so you can enjoy a long life with him. My husband always feels better when I show him that being happier with me makes me more likely to want to spend "special" time with him.

Is he looking, cause 30 lbs. should be enough to notice!

I'm a teacher.....already knew this one.

To those who mentioned always logging food, I think you're right. I was great at first about eating, making good choices was easy because I'd think, "Do I really want MFP friends to see I ate THAT?" But I've gotten lazy and if I have an off day, I just don't post my food diary. Got to get back that original way of…
