  • thank you all! i sure appreciate this feedback!
  • Do interval training on the treadmill. Not sure what your fitness levels are at currently, but say walk at 3.5 for 3 min, then run at maybe a 5 for 1 min. If you are more advanced, up the intervals. That is what I do to get a power burn!
  • this is great!!! i have a "mom approves" snack list for my kids to choose from. i'll have to add some of these to it! some i didn't even think of! thanks!
  • i went over my calorie intake on my first 3-days. i used those 3-days as my baseline to see exactly how much i was eating normally, without watching calories closely. Once i logged for 3-days i went back and saw where i needed to swap out foods to healther choices and smaller portions and even eliminate foods to make it…

  • use this site to work on your eating habits first, especially if you aren't the active type. when you start losing weight with calorie counting you will be more energized to add activity. also, look at the cardio database. you probably do some of that stuff dailty without even realizing it. i bet you are more active than…

  • stop drinking diet coke lol......i know how you feel, i was there......totally addicted to diet coke. i still drink some, but maybe one or two in a week. i got myself off it by drinking a glass of water before i drank a diet coke. it helped me get full quicker and after time, i found myself drinking only maybe a half a can…
  • fantastic!!!
  • it's taken me 12-weeks of working out 6 days//wk with cardio and weights. this site DEFINATELY helped me out on the nutirtion side! good luck to you!
  • exactly! i've had better luck with regular diet and exercise!
  • if you are serious about trying this out, make sure you read the Pounds and Inches manuel. it explains the method behind the madness. you have your loading phase, your diet phase and your maintenance phase. basically the maintenance phase is similar to the adtkins diet. you can eat more food than the diet phase, but you…
  • The HCG diet can be a good thing if you do it right. I lost 35lbs in 37 days after i had my last baby. HOWEVER, the maintenance part, after the initial 40-days, is what kicks peoples *kitten*. if you don't follow the maintenance plan exact, you can gain all those pounds back easily. I"ve had friends do the same thing. the…
  • i started this at 1200 becasue i didn't really know what i was doing. once i figured things out and realized i needed more intake due to the amonut of activity i do each day, i raised it to 1400 and switched my ratios around on the protein/fat/carbs. i've had mad success since i've started following that plan. i see a lot…
  • your food diary kicks *kitten* actually. your fat/protein/carb intake is right on for weight loss. maybe switch up your exercise more?? do something new, something different. just a suggestion! good luck!
  • hummus is freaking amazing! i had some today too!!!

  • great post, and congrats on your success! people don't realize how many calories are in the beverages they drink. lots of wasteful ones for sure. i'll be sure to up my water intake daily! thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • i see a lot of people, especially women, going right to the 1200 cal/day plan. i tried that at first, but it just wans't working out with i needed to be eating for my exercise. i switched it to 1400 cal/day plan and added more protein for that extra 200 cal/day and have seen awesome results. i still have my carbs in the…
  • hi! this is a great place for constant motivation and support!! feel free to add me if you'd like! the only suggestion i have is to make your diary public to at least your friends so we can see what you are eating and how you are exercisinig so we can offer suggestions and helpful advice. i was so focused on calorie count,…
  • welcome to MFP! just like you, i've had some fitness challenges to overcome......to include knee surgery as well! this is a great site for constant motivation and keeping yourself accountable to your own personal goals. it helps to have your diarys public so your friends on here can help make suggestions if you need some…
  • i'll have a random diet coke every now and then, but i drink a ton of water with those crystal lite packets. not a big juice drinker, but i'll have pomagranite or cranberry juice if i do decide to drink it.
  • its something like 80% to weightloss is what you eat. make sure you log your diet on here and watch your calories. best thing i've ever done! also, cut out all soda and fruit juices. if you are a regular soda drinker, you'll be amazed the difference in your body once you've stopped putting that stuff in it. a work out…
  • stevia is all natural! try it, i promise you'll like it!
  • add some stevia sweetner to it. it comes in all different flavors. my fave is the vanilla creme. just a few drops can add so much flavor. i also use that when i blend an orange and have a vanilla orange smoothie. super yummy and super healthy! they have a lemon flavor that is also a good mix for the green tea also. i…
