Funny you mention a book. I started reading "brain powered weight loss". I'll check out the other books as well. And I think i'll call my local hospital. They have registered dieticians, and provide weight loss counseling and help. :) Thanks everyone!

Working mom to 2 here! Working on shedding 40 lbs this year. Added OP, but please feel free to add me too! I also use a fit bit and love doing daily/weekly challenges :)

I give my baby a bath everyday...for us it was about establishing a bedtime routine and he poops in his diaper several times a day. Personally, I don't think wipes do the job as well as a bath, but that's just me.... I like giving him bath time everyday and he enjoys it too. We make sure to lotion up afterwards to avoid…

My husband is a mechanic, and we just had a baby boy who is 7 weeks old. I have 2 boys clothes that are dirty now since my husband picks up the baby and by default gets his outfits dirty/greasy sometimes. I'm sure our little boy will follow his dad, and be just as dirty, even if he choses another profession/career - this…

Julia - great link! Love this. I have never known what to put and by default put sedentary, when maybe I should be lightly active.... something to think about for sure!

Im from michigan! Originally from lansing! Moved to royal oak.... then to charlotte! Mi. I work for kelloggs myself :)

"It is causing problems because A) always puts it in B)'s face that A) pays most of the bills!" This is not healthy....my husband makes about $20,000 less than I do, our finances our combined and we share things equally. Just because I make more doesn't mean he doesn't contribute any more or less than I do. We also talk…

I am almost 26 and have had really bad baby fever since I got married at 24 UNTIL my nephew came and I babysat him several times and for 12 hours and tried taking him grocery shopping or clothing shopping with me or just out anywhere ahhhhh. Now i'm content to enjoy my nephew and "see what happens" between me and my…

Work on spending more quality time with my husband. It seems that we always get caught up in the business of life and even though we live together and spend most evenings together sometimes it feels like I haven't seen him or really talked to him for long periods of time. :)

Hey! I'm Megan and i'm from Michigan too! Feel free to add me. I'm always looking for new friends and support as well!

Hello! I'm Megan. Feel free to add me! I have been on the site since March 2011, but took some time away from focusing on weight loss when we moved and I switched jobs. Now i'm back at it again. :)

no, but i'm very aware of the time I spend with him and I don't want to be on MFP when he is home from work. I'd rather spend time with him anyways! I check in usually once in the evening to complete my diary, but most of my chit-chatting with friends occurs during the day while we are both at work.
-
workout anyways! It will help - I promise!!! At least go for a walk or go to your class and try to do the lower impact version. You will feel better.

just my thoughts.... Yes you should be paid for a full day for the day before thanksgiving. If she had a daycare center she'd pay for a whole day having a nanny isn't any different. And if you worked extra hours you should be paid ad well. If you asked for the hours and she didn't want to pay you, then she shouldn't have…

YUM thanks for sharing!!

They are HORRIBLE for you. But with that said...i've been drinking 1 per day for almost 2 years now and i'm working to give them up! I am drinking only about 1-2 per week now. :) I just started weaning myself off them. I'd recommend giving them up if you can :) Good Luck.

I used to clean stalls daily. I never considered it exercise because it was my daily routine. But, if you happened to randomly do a bunch of work (cleaning stalls, lugging 5 gal water buckets, throwing hay around for awhile) and you don't normally do that, then I would wear an HRM and see what it equates to. (sounds like…

I'm having the same problem, but I'm thinking mine is a battery issue as well. It didn't used to be this weird. Although, I will admit, when I got the fancy scale there were a lot more variations (if I moved, moved the scale, ect) But for the most part it was consistent (until recently which is why I think it's the…

curtsey lunges.....and mtn climbers. ughhhhh

haha this could be true. :) But you know so many recipes have marinades and all that good stuff that can totally change the calorie count but Cream of Celery isn't much really..... especially in a recipe that serves about 10 people.
-
I have the calories for the venison, i'm more concerned with how to calcualte the cream of celery that we marinate it in. We don't consume all of the cream of celery because some is left, but obviously some gets soaked in...... would you just not calculate it at all, or maybe just in part?

well said! You need something with sugar down later in the list. all of the cereals you listed are high in sugar (Mini Wheats too!). Kashi is usually good, but you still have to be carefull of the sugar in those as well. Plain cereals are better....like corn flakes. You can add fruit to give them more flavor.

I went but I was the DD (I volunteered so I wouldn't drink) I only had 1 glass of wine! Not bad! :)

strawberry huler (spelling?) and my cherry pitter!

yeah I was never healthy in college which is how I ended up in the place I am now :( The cafeteria definitely didn't help. All you can eat french fries and everything fried. Tuesday Taco Bars...mmmm. And the horrible for you salad bar which has full fat dressing and hardly any lo-cal options.
