I'm 5'3 and want to lose about 50 lbs. it seems like so much! Feel free to add me if you'd like!

As a military wife, I completely understand where you're coming from! When DH is away, I'm fine with just restricting my diet. When he's home, we like to cook. And it's never really all that healthy. He wants to take me to dinner. I don't want to eat fish or brown rice at a restaurant. I want spinach dip and chicken fried…

Bump :)

Another thought: BUY NICE OR BUY TWICE! It's not worth spending $30 on one that won't perform the way you'd like just to spend $90 to upgrade.

LOVE the Polar FT4. I got it for just around $90 at Best Buy. I could have gotten it cheaper online. But I HATE waiting. I'd rather spend $20 extra and have immediate satisfaction. I didn't want to spend as much as I did, but I realized that a pair of jean I would buy would cost just as much. I'd rather spend $90 on a HRM…

Mine is set for 1360, random I know, but I always exercise and end up eating about 1400-1500. I like those extra calories! I like food! :) I'm not going to temporarily give myself an extra calorie deficit. It will only hurt me in the long run.

I have always had luck with BKE jeans from Buckle. They're a little pricey, but I have NEVER had a pair fit me so well and last me SO long. I had a pair I spent $70 on but they lasted me 6 years. Even my sister and one of my cousins have had luck with this brand.

If you really want a great pair of shoes, I would avoid Walmart at all costs. I know they might be cheaper, but you'll only pay for it in the long run. I would go to Academy, ****'s, or some other sporting goods/athletic store with experts who can fit your feet. I have a twin sister and we have totally different brand…

A Polar heart rate monitor (I just got the Polar FT4 and LOVE it!) will give you calories lost based upon your weight, height, age, gender. It has a chest strap with a transmitter that transmits to a wrist watch. You can see your heart rate, target heart rate, calories, or even just time and date. If you're strength…

Sorry about the whiplash! haha But thank you! This helps me a lot. :)

Go to bestbuy.com to see if it's at a store local to you. It was at my local Best Buy and only cost me $10 and I was able to use it immediately :)

HAHAHAHA My dad still always says, "Even ugly people need lovin' too."

That's not small at all! That's so awesome! Congrats!

My own correction* it acts like an amphetamine. It's still a controlled substance.
-
It's an amphetamine so it will suppress your appetite. I have a friend who used it and lost a lot a weight. But she gained it all back and then some once she got off of it.

BUMP! :)

You're TOTALLY my hero. I don't know where my complete obsession with ice cream comes from. We never had it in the house growing up but trust me, it's ridiculous. I will have to find this. :) This might not sound sincere but it really is: THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Totally depends on the cereal for one. Lucky Charms, totally let sit. Bran Flakes, Crunchy all the way As far as the banana goes, I don't know how you would even open from the 'end' so I'm totally a stem girl.
-
That's awesome! :) I totally know how you feel about being the bigger sister. Except my sister is my practically identical twin. Yay for me. We're pretty similar in abilities, brains, athletics, except I always weighed more. I'm working on being even with her!

Hi! I'm starting tonight after my husband goes to work! I'll totally support you! :)

It's the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. It has 3 levels of workouts that are 20 minutes long. I haven't done it yet. I bought it yesterday and was so excited to get started, and then I realized I didn't have weights or a mat. So I'm starting today!
-
With your sense of humor, you'll do great! :) Good luck! Feel free to add me!
-
That's great! And it's great motivation. I haven't worn jeans in months because I refuse to spend the money. Keep up the good work!

I'm not currently living in Louisiana, but that's where I grew up!

I wish I loved it. I even go through phases where I do. It comes down to the fact that I just get really bad inflamed knees and shin splints. I've pretty much had them since 5th grade. Young I know, but years of sports will do that to you sometimes.

:) I'm a proud Navy wife! Nice to meet everyone!

Don't let her get to you! Her insecurities are no reason for you to keep quiet about your journey. Sure, there are certain lines of sensitivity, but if you need a 'Good job' from your friends at work, then don't hesitate to get one! Just remember that she probably suffers from low self esteem and a lot of insecurity. She…
