  • I did this with soup recently normally just make a big pot and when its gone its gone so I made a note of how many serving we when through until it was gone the answer was 8 so I made it serve 8 people. I just did up the recipe before and roughly guessed 6 servings so then I just amended it

  • For me its have my chocolate and eat it!!! I am a choco nut too so I buy the Cadbury Multipack i.e. Twirl's and Caramel bars they average 180 per bar lower than the standard bars and I always save 180 calorie in my day and enjoy my bar with a cup of herbal tea in the evening. When I tired to cut chocolate out altogether I…
  • I will probably have people go mad at me for this but my two cent is I hate sponsored walks, parachute jumps etc I am all for raising money for charity but please do something worth while and not something self serving maybe a sponsored clean up or sponsored day helping in the community etc. Sorry just what I think
  • I was away for 2 weeks in July this was my first total break from MFP in over a year I ate and drink all I wanted in those two weeks and I would guess my average calorie intake was 2000-3000 per day compared to my normal 1400-1800. After two weeks I have only gain 7lbs which I felt was nothing really and I have lots 5lbs…
  • Totally I tried cutting out chocolate as I have a mega sweet tooth and ended up binging on it anytime I had some so now I save 185 calories every day and I have my Cadbury Twirl or Cadbury Carmel (the mutli-pack size as they have less calories than normal bars) every evening with a cup of herbal tea and it works great!!
  • 1200 is your daily allowance to lose weight at about 2lbs a week not including any exercise. If you exercise its gets added to your 1200 allowing you to eat more calories in that day i.e you burn 500 calories your daily allowance is 1700.
  • Totally I feel really bad when I don't get my walk in to the point if I wake up and see its raining it can put me in bad form knowing I might not get out!!! But I reckon there is worse things to feel bad about

  • Well done you I would love to be able to put away the scales but I have to admit I am a slave to them. I weight every morning before I shower but I can accept the daily weight shift so I don't drive myself to mad!!!
  • Perfect I have a salad most nights with egg already but just make it with lettuce so going to have to change my greens thanks
  • Hubby brought home some little pots as few weeks ago I live in Ireland and it was Philly mix with Cadburys Chocolate and yes its was fab I think it was 86 calories for a small pots and we had it on Pancakes and also on some sweet crackers with some fruit onto top. Less calories than standard chocolate spreads
  • I always work on a weekly average saving a few 100 each day so when the weekend comes and I'm over its not as bad, and it works for me??
  • I agree I also log my day at the start of the morning what I plan to eat to give me an idea for how many or how few calories I have for the day and then I amend it at the end of the day if I have made any changes as the day went on.
  • I reckon on Christmas easily 4000 including drink and food
  • True Irish Redhead here and proud. Used to hate my hair colour when I was a teenager just wanted to be dark like all my friends but I love it now and most if my dark haired friend are trying to hid some grey that's now creeping in. However, I would trade my very very (can't look at the sun) fair skin if I could even just…
  • Very boring my initials and the year I joined MFP

I just watch the calories and look for things between 100 - 185 calories. I bought some Lemon Truffles this week 65…
  • Just have the real stuff I don't deny my sweet tooth anymore because if I do I end up going on a chocolate binge. I just make sure I work out my calories for the day and allow enough left to have a bit of chocolate.
  • Gosh I'm not sure really I mean you could ask can they give you fruit instead of the chocolate or crisps??? I guess they are giving you what is easy and also portable on the slopes. I would say however you are going to be burning a tonne of extra calories I'm sure with the ski-ing so I would not worry to much maybe just…
