  • The first one - about sitting after working out is kinda right...haha...kinda. Its not good to sit down after a work out because of your muscles - lactic acid will build up which will just make you sore...but it has nothing to do with fat settling. The second one is not entirely right, but its not wrong either. There are…
  • Ragu has a pasta sauce that is awesome...its a no sugar added marinara sauce. I think its just called Ragu Light. I have the tomato basil flavor or whatever it is and its delicious. It has like 70 calories per serving, its really healthy...it is pretty much just a pure tomato...and tomatoes are very healthy!
  • That has been a bit tricky for me as well...so I read up on it. Apparently going over protein is actually GOOD...I did a health calculator on myself and it read that I should actually be getting like 90g protein! And I also believe that carbs are not bad to go that much over on - they are the body's fuel! As long as they…
  • Oooo ick! I'm not a fan. Here is my intense and frightening spider story... ...I was sleeping one night and *thought* my hair was tickling my neck, so I just brushed it away...until that "hair" (AKA : nasty spider!!!) crawled INTO my ear!!! UUUUUUGGGGHHHH! It still gives me shivers just thinking about how I had to get it…
  • Ohhh goodness...thats a beautiful picture! I love those few times we are lucky enough to get a perfect, priceless picture. This is def one of those pics!!
  • Eat the bacon!! Haha...at least, I would. I don't like forcing myself or being strict. I am however, always sure to record what I eat/burn and not go over. So in my opinion, its better to let yourself have a bit of a favorite snack. Mostly in hopes that our bodies won't retaliate and cause a splurge!
  • How sweet and thoughful of your husband though! :)

  • Toast! Or rice cakes! Yum!! :)
  • I LOVE 2-wheels!!! You have a very sweet - and super quick bike - thats awesome! I have a crusier, and there are few things I love more than to go on long rides through the mountains - wow. You are very right, its theraputic. The freedom, speed, risk...I love everything about motorcycles.
  • I have not experianced any thing like that...but if I were to try to think of a good strengthening exersize, I would say perhaps a pool workout? That way it is no impact, but the water creates 12x more resistance than being on land. So walking in a pool, hanging onto the wall doing kicks, leg raises, leg swings,…
  • I think there are a few different ways to have it tested. I got mine done the manual way, by a personal trainer. I'm not going to lie...its pretty awkward. When I got mine tested, they pinched four different places on my body: my arm, back, stomach, (I don't remember where else - I think I was too caught up in him grabbing…
  • I don't think having a glass of wine will have any adverse effects on your weight loss...I think your body - for the most part - metabolizes alcohol as it would carbs and sugar. As long as you are counting it into your allotted calories for the day, I think you'll be perfectly fine enjoying that wine!

  • I second that, bellmom! Theres no way I can workout in the morning! Those who do it - ahem - are nuts!!! (In a great and admirable way, of course!) Good for you guys!
  • A HRM!!...very smart! (-:
  • I have an irregular heartbeat as well...almost like every 10 or so beats my heart just skips a beat. I have a resting heart rate of 40 beats per minute, and doctors all say that I have a super healthy, strong heart because I'm an athlete. They have never worried about the fact that its irregular... Though it would be smart…
  • All these comments are right, it could be any of those factors. OR...you could be losing the fat but gaining muscle. Ugh...for me, I am not over weight, but I weigh a ton! Because I am an athlete, so I am very muscular. And I'm sure we've all heard it: "Muscle weighs more than fat." Its much more dense. So maybe the gain…
  • I do the exact thing! So I am right there with you! I am actually in one of those overeating moods today...I have already eaten all my daily calories and I haven't had dinner yet :( this drives me crazy. Luckily I am still doing my 450 calorie-burning workout tonight. I am still so disappointed. I have no advice, sorry.…
  • 50 ODD Things about me... 1. Do you like blue cheese? Not particularly... 2. Have you ever smoked a cigarette? Nope! 3. Do you own a gun? Some air-soft guns, a BB gun, and a paintball gun 4. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic? Strawberries :) 5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments? Yeah, pretty much -…
  • This site can help with that! You can set your food diary to have a "sodium" column. If you don't know how to add it...go to the "My Home" tab, then to the "Settings" sub-tab. Then select the "Food Diary Settings" option, and it will be the first option - "Nutrients Tracked" then go to number 5, and select sodium. It will…
  • You can't go wrong! I would mix it up and do a bit of both...or alternate days - incline one day, speed the next. I think the more of an incline the more it will have a building muscle result, and more speed would have a slimming result. Both are good!
  • I do! Every day :) I am a believer (and supporter!) in a dessert after every meal...haha...of course, I don't mean three pieces of cake or anything like that. But it helps me to have some fruit for breakfast dessert, a small treat after lunch and usually a Healthy Choice Fudge Bar (100 calories and delicious!) after…
  • I am now a college student, with a very healthy life style...but I was just thinking back to my crazy high school days...yikes! I don't know how I was so thin! I would eat EVERYTHING and anything!! Literally: a WHOLE LARGE Little Cesar's pizza, super sized meals, boxes/bags of candy, extra large popcorn bowls at movies,…
  • "Barely There" is pretty nice...But honestly, in MY search so far, I have found a Target brand to be best...its call "Gilligan O'Mally," I believe. They have underwire for lift, can have padding/structure for support - they stay in place and are pretty comfortable. I have Victoria's Secret, Barely There and a few others…
  • Sounds delicious! What a good idea : )
  • You could settle on cold soup V8 is a very smart idea Fruit smoothies Protien shakes Refried beans Quaker "grits"/malt-o-meal You could even eat baby foods - sounds silly, but at least you would get the nutrients your body needs. All these ideas will be more filling and provide more sustenance. I hope these ideas help!!!
  • Yay for camping!! That sounds like so much fun! I agree with "hummm" .... A friend of mine had a birthday recently and we drank a lot and ate lots of munchy foods...and sadly, I felt like crap about myself the day after. Sooo...moderation! Light beers and healthy alternatives. I think in the long run it will be well worth…
  • Oh, I fully agree!!! A positive attitude is one of the major keys to life! I believe that in every situation - everything(!) - there is some good to be found. It may take some searching, but there is something good to come from every problem, trouble, loss, issue, hurt, etc...even being stuck in traffic  it is ALL…
  • This site really helps. Its easy and low-key...just give it a shot for a week or two! If you don't like it, then there's nothing lost! My sister influenced me to try it and now I really like it : )
