  • I'm a bit lighter than you (185) and I'm looking for new friends. I'm restarting my journey.
  • Add me...I need to restart.
  • I follows high protein, low carb diet. My macros are set at 40/30/30 protein/carbs/fat. I find that the only way I can hit my protein numbers AND stay in my calorie goal is to use protein supplements. Low sugar (or no sugar) shakes and bars work for me. There are lots of options. I suggest trying a few different kinds to…
  • Living thru this. Just restarted on MFP. I looked at your diary. The only suggestion I have is to get closer to your protein number. it is very low for the days I looked at. It has always made a difference in my weight loss.
  • W irking out how? Eating what?
  • I've used their training services frequently to help with my form and to change things up. They have a series that they want you to go through and its often a small group 2-4 people. But most of the time, I get the trainer one-on-one so we what I want and its FREE! Works for me!
  • I've been a member of Planet Fitness for many years now. Its a great place to workout. You CAN do free weights. You CAN do heavy lifting. They even have "free" training sessions that will help you put a program together and help you with form. I'd go check it out before you decided its not for you. Its inexpensive, mine if…
  • I wish I could help but I'm not an expert and and expert is what you need. Getting into the clinic and seeking professional assistance is the first step and you've started down that path. You need to focus on get back in healthy shape. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  • Yes. I use non-fat milk with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry protien. I use water with lemonade, ice tea and other fruity flavored protien. I use Nectar. It's 90-100 calories a scoop and then I add the water for 0 or milk 90. I have done half milk and half water to cut the calories. I've also added yogurt and fruit to up…
  • I focus on how I feel. I feel good and live well (don't feel deprived) at 150 lbs. So that's where I want to be. I dropped to 138 lbs at my lowest and felt like crap and was always fighting to try and keep the weight there. I hurt putting on the extra pounds but if I exercise consistently and eat healthy, I feel awesome…
  • Good for you! Your goal is in sight! Once reached, I wouldn't make massive changes. Set a new goal, not weight related. Increase strength? Start running? Something that will help you stay healthy and maintain your weight. I'd start adding calories not by adding volume but by changing what you eat. Switch from no fat to low…
  • If the sugar is coming from natural sources and you aren't a diabetic (or trending that way), I wouldn't worry too much about it. I find that the MFP targets are not realistic for someone trying to change their life style in a maintainable way. Adjust the target to something you are willing to live with!
  • If your sugar is coming from natural sources and you aren't a diabetic, don't worry about it. If it bothers you change your sugar target!
  • Love my Polar FT4. I wear just below my sports bra. Works fine and is comfortable. I don't even notice I have it on. Thanks for reminding me though to take it off!
  • You want to make sure you eat enough to fuel your body. I don't eat all my exercise calories but I do try to consume my base calorie amount. Your diary isn't open but if you are hungry all day it could be what you are eating. I find the protien keeps me from getting hungry. I try to have protien every time I eat.
  • The key to succes is attitude. This isn't a short trip or an event. It's a change in life style. You have to want it and be willing to work for it. It's for you and only you. It's about you and only you. Now that isn't to say its easy. Some days are better than others. No one is perfect so don't expect to be. When you…
  • Drop the carbs and replace them with protien. And go see your doctor!

  • Looks fine to me. Not sure what your looking for.
  • Bump
  • I tried your calculation method using a few product labels. Using your calculations all the labels had the wrong calorie count! MFP matched the labels for the same foods.
  • I do count calories and try to stay under my fat allowance. I don't use the MFP macros. I set my own.
  • I use protien shakes or bars to help keep me from getting hungry.
  • Not sure what to tell you. What ever your doing seems to be working based on your weight loss and your diary looks pretty good. Only suggestion would be to try and reduce your sugar. Lots of fruit means lots of sugar. I find that leaves me hungry.nnopt for protien I stead. That tends to keep me feeling full longer.
  • 9's are a big del! It's always a rush when I drop into a new decade! Congrats!
  • One thing I've learned is that this journey never ends. It's a life style change, not a "diet" or a race to lose weight. It's a life long journey to attaining and maintaining good health. I have lost 170 lbs...the last 20 is back and I'm battling to get back to where I felt good. I keep a fat picture and list of my former…
  • I've had one for a year now. Love it. Very easy to use.
  • Deep breath. Don't let a couple of bad days throw you. It happens...too often to me. Just pick yourself up and get back to it. A couple of suggests...you ARE NOT on a diet. You ARE making a lifestyle change. You are choosing LIFE over food. This isn't and event. It's a way of life! I read your profile...we lead parallel…
  • First, you have to commit to making a lifestyle change, not going on a diet. Second, you need to start. Set weekly goals that are attainable and build on them each week. Start with something like.... Week 1: I will log all my food and stay with in my calorie goal. Week 2: in addition to week 1's goal, I will exercise at…
