When I first joined MFP, I was all over the boards and that's how I first met you. Just over two years later, and you're still here - having reached your goal. :) I rarely even check out the forums anymore. But I do still keep up with the tools here because, let's face it, MFP offers the best tools online. Anyway, I was…

I wish there was a way to 'favorite' a topic or thread. This post would definitely be at the top of my fav list.

That is fantastic! Congratulations!

I hear ya! And like you, I was able to keep the weight off, but that was it. I started back up in September. It's getting better. So welcome back to MFP!

That sounds like fun! I used to have this huge bulletin board and had started one, but then never really took the time to add to it or even focus on it. I'm headed out today to pick up some supplies. This time, I think I'm going to get the kids involved and have them make one for themselves too. =)

I love seeing all the kid pics (and the feet too lol)! =)

Here are mine. Jacob, Andrew and Lauren. These are kind of old though, except for Lauren's, which I stole off of her myspace page lol. =)

I attempted W2D1 myself, but I didn't quite make it because my left shin starting acting up, maybe because I was on a treadmill today. I usually run on a walking/running track around this lake down the road and I do the same thing - pick land marks. I go from one lamp post to every other one or every two since I like to…

Glad I'm not the only Facebook addict around. Holly - That was way too funny. I've got the shortest legs around, but I'd bet I'd be jumping fences too and probably with the greatest of ease if some dog came chasing after me. Glad you made it okay.

I'm in too. Goodness knows I need all the encouragement and motivation I can get. I know I can do this. I've even started dreaming about it. I don't push myself hard enough and then once I get home I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't try harder. I need something to think about while I'm running, I think - and not…

I confess that the reason I don't spend as much time on here as I should or even want to is because...well, because I'm an addict. I accidentally got addicted to some stupid game on Facebook and can't stop myself. My name is Marianne and I'm a Farkle-holic. Help me.

That is just awesome!! My youngest son is 9yrs. old and overweight (15lbs.) He's been going with me on my runs!! He says that he wants to start eating right and exercising along with me. I tell ya, I couldn't be more proud of him. In fact, he kept bugging me all day yesterday to go when I really didn't feel like it. We…

Oh no. I'm sorry. More prayers on the way! Chin up!

I can hardly wait to get the clothes that still have the tags on them into my rotation. I here them calling...Marianne....oh Mariaaaaanne...lol Congrats!!!

Seriously.

You mean on the home page? That green button you push? Nah... It tells ya that if you ate and/or exercised just as you have today, then it "guesses" that you'll be at that weight. Of course, it doesn't take into account TOM or stress or plateaus or any of that other stuff that just comes with living. It is kind of fun…

Oh see! I'm excited for you!! I bought a pair of sz.14 jeans about three weeks ago. I've tried them once every week. Looks like I still have about 4" to lose around my waist. I know I'll there. slowly, but surely. Hopefully before for Christmas. Oh and if you're interested...there's more where that came from...…

Get this! I did it...I actually ran on the treadmill! I can't believe I don't have a bruise or open wound on my body! lol It was really a lot easier to do than I thought. Who'd-a-thunk-it? Thanks so much for the tips. I have officially completed W1D1 of the C25K. Go figure. When I ran, I did it at a 4.5. I know not much. I…

I'm going to be out of town tomorrow and will be going to my old gym. The have a small indoor track and then of course there's the treadmill. I really want to try running on the treadmill. But I am and always have been scared to death of running on that thing. Walking has never been a problem, but I have visuals of me and…

She got my vote too! Good luck!!

OMG I was thinking the same thing! Except the part about a little running fix. I haven't gotten to that point yet. lol I took off yesterday, but I'm sitting here ready to go to the lake. I keep going back and forth in my head whether or not I should go or pop in a DVD. My ankle feels better, but I've always had problems…

Thank you both! I don't want to give up on this one. I used to run back when I was in high school, but sheesh, that was decades ago (did that make me sound old or what?). lol Oh! And I found a 5k scheduled for mid Nov. I doubt I'll be ready for it in time, but ya never know, right? My ankle isn't too bad...it's good enough…

Okay. I had posted this somewhere else. I never looked in this thread thinking it was beyond me. I've attempted two or three times now, just with W1D1. But I ended up walking it each time. Then earlier today, I read an article http://www.bit.ly/firststeps1 about beginners and know now that I really, really need to slow my…
