Have you heard of the Undress???
It doesn't look like it is out yet...a friend posted a link on facebook. LOOKS AMAZING!!! www.theundress.com seriously, I would NOT use it in an elevator, but there are SOOO many times I wish I had had something like this!!! I'm not making money on it...just wanted to share a cool option and see what y'all think. I think…

Kirkland Popcorn...Trying to understand their label???
OK...I seriously called in to Costco regarding thier microwave popcorn...if you look at the nutrition label That is the link for the image of the bag of microwave popcorn. (I hope I did it right) Here is the math. at the top it says Serving size of 2 tbsp UNpopped (makes 5.5 cups popped) Servings per bag is 2.5 so that…

QUITTING is not an option
This is lifestlye change...this is PERMANENT change, not a diet. My dad told me once "losing the weight is EASY. It's keeping it off that's hard." (He lost over 160 pounds at least three times in his life so far) Because of that comment, I decided that MY goal is going to be maintenance of a healthy weight! Today I had a…

I'm still here...

PRivate message me
I am blessed by the friends I have added from this group. Please, if you would like to add me as a friend, do so but also leave a comment that this is how you found me. smiles. If this group gets moving again, I'll come back daily, but for now I'm tired of trying to carry it and I am finding that I get frustrated with no…

Lord, I come before you today, as everyday, to pray for health and wellness. I Thank you that you have given us this wonderful forum on which to connect and I pray your blessings on all fifteen of our current members here as well as my Daniel Plan church friends and also on the rest of the Myfitnesspal community. I pray…

TIPS and TRICKS
I just wanted to open up a discussion about tips and tricks y'all might learn from your groups. At our group we discussed logging everything here (or the new app that is supposed to come out soon.) Getting extra steps in by using restrooms on another floor. Praying before eating EVERYTHING. I look forward to hearing y'alls…

CROCK POT RECIPE THREAD
SO, it was brought up that we should have a place to share our crock pot recipes. I see this as being a WONDERFUL time saver on multiple levels. How many times do we get home after a LONG day at work and are just TOO TIRED to put together something healthy? Ya'll wish you had your own "Alice" (Brady Bunch) or "Mr. French"…

Chapter ONE
Lets get this group GOING! I have included all of you in my prayers this week. I wonder what your favorite part is of Chapter ONE. For me, it helps to know that this body is just on loan....it is Jesus' body...bought and paid for with his blood. How silly that it is easier for me to take better care of something that is…

How to support someone?
What can you do when someone you care about enters complete "I could care less" mode about themselves?

Pre-Logging
I have come to the conclusion that Pre-Logging my foods (logging them BEFORE I eat them) is rather like looking at the price tag of something BEFORE I buy it. It makes a difference for me. Might be something y'all already knew, but for me it was kind of my "WELL-DUH" moment.

I am NOT a new years resolution newb
I have lost over 40 pounds and put some(7) back on over the holidays. BUT, I have been committed to moving these past few months, running my first 5K (well, woggling it...jog/walk) in early November. In my quest to find things I can LIVE with (because this is a lifestyle choice, NOT a diet) I have asked advice of those who…

My FIRST 5K!
Yeah, I'm fat. (245 pounds give or take depending on fluid retention, TOM, etc.) I'm working on it. Progress not perfection. Many people here are losing way faster...But I keep plugging away. I didn't think I would EVER share here...yet here I am. WHY? Because if *I* can do a 5K, ANYONE with working legs CAN! I have been…

Marathons near you?
I went to Illinois for a job and while there I found a theater that is doing ALL TWILIGHT movies (Twilight marathon) for $18!!!! Not sure it is worth the hour and a half drive and the work penalty! (I CANNOT BELIEVE I SAID THAT!) They are showing BD2 at 10pm because evidently they got permission??? Just wondering if there…

I couldn't pull my pants down!
Seriously...I was at work, and I went to the bathroom...and I am just plain used to my pants being too big, so much so that I can pull them down without unbuttoning or unzipping them. Well...I finally dug into the bottom drawers and pulled out some pants that fit (2 sizes smaller than what I have been wearing)…

First 5K nervous about buying shoes!
OK...so I am in week 5 day 3 of couch to 5k. I am doing my first 5k November 4th for my kids' high school. My old crappy shoes died ( I needed new ones anyway because those were so old) I have been running barefoot on my treadmill. But it is time to invest in some good shoes (and a good bra). I'm going to Big River Running…

It's really that simple?
I just had a HUGE "a-hah!" moment. Earlier today I replied to someone about kids and temper tantrums or whining. I replied (over simplified) to ask the child if it ever works. No? so why keep doing it. Enter that Palm slap to the head OMG moment while reading a MFpal's blog about emotional eating NOT working and always…

What are you all DOING to get it going?
I'm chatty when I get the chance to be online. I have friends, but I WANT THIS GROUP! SO...I'm going to start chatting it up by asking... WHAT do YOU do to get things going? Examples of lifestyle choices that I have commited to in the last 2 months (I joined in August of 2010, but only started as a faithful user since…

Whats your favorite recipe or cookbook?
For dairy free...Min is by FAR the UN-cheese cookbook. It has a brocoli cheeda soup that is AMAZING. But FIVE LOAVES rocks, too! (it's vegan and has an amazing lasagna!) SO...what's YOUR favorite recipe/cookbook to help curb the cravings for dairy?

"Exercise" on break!
OK...I just did some exploring of my building. I have been here since July and JUST realized this building has 6 floors. I work on 2. I have been adding bits of exercise (should say activity) here and there..I always take the stairs (it is one flight...just as fast as the elevator), I have started using the bathroom on the…

FitBit VS Heart Rate Monitor OR both???
I USED to be active and not worry...my job has changed (read sitting instead of walking now) , my lifestyle has changed (read stressed and tons of fast food instead of home cooking), and I have packed on the pounds in the past few years (read size 8 becomes size 26...OUCH.) While I have found ways to *bring* my meals and…
