Keto vs Paleo diet
These two diets sounds the same, I don't understand what the difference is. Both reduce how much carbs you eat by avoiding breads, etc. Both of these diets are fat and protein rich.

Can someone explain to me the concept of Net Carbs?
I'm trying to do a low carb diet (ketogenic) and I am really confused about the concept of net carbs. Here is one example, a food has 5 carbs and 4 grams of fiber. Therefore the Net carbs are 1 grams. What does this mean? Should I count it as 5 carbs or 1?

Does our body actually need carbs to function (excluding the fiber argument)? I've seen a lot of posts saying high carb intake will cause people to store fat. But does this apply to complex wholegrain carbs (wholewheat bread, etc.) or just refined carbs (white pasta, rice, etc.). How much carbs is too much?
