For those of you using heart rate monitors, don't forget to update your user settings and recalibrate your HRM as you lose weight. I forgot and the weight was 20 lbs off, have to believe that I wasn't getting an accurate reading...

Can Strawberries be Frozen
I eat strawberries every day on my oatmeal, this summer I have enjoyed them fresh from my plants. But the crop grows lean.... I'd like to get some at the Farmer's Market, but don't eat them fast enough for those big containers. Anybody know if they can be frozen , whole or pieces, without any suagary sauce?

To follow up on a previous post, I saw the Doc about the pain I've been having in my hip. The diagnosis is arthritis - in the hip and lumbar spine. The x-ray shows discernable degeneration. does diet soda make you hungrier?
I had diet coke over the weekend, one 10 oz glass on Sat and Sun each, and I was absolutely starving all day long each day. Today I'm back on water only and not feeling nearly as hungry. Has anybody else noticed this?

I took a knitting class, and I am making a baby blanket for my great-nephew who is due in August. It's a great way to avoid the evening eating in front of the tv - my hands are busy and hands need to stay clean!

It's too HOT!
We're normally around 75 -80 dgrees, but yesterday and today have been 100 :explode: I can't get myself motivated to exercise today. I don't belong to a gym, I walk or bike ride. I did ride yesterday but today seems to be a bust... Suposed to be a little cooler (90's) through the weekend and then back to normal....

Question for Banks and/or all Bikers
Yesterday I posted that I had gotten a Polar F11, and how much MFP under valued the the cals burned. Today I rode my bike 12 miles in 58 mins. (that's 12.4 mph) and MFP calculates the cals burned to be 552. Now, my HRM says I burned 1,052! Is that right? I'm sort of afraid to eat those extra cals, I've been consistent at…

Raw vs cooked
I bought some ground turkey (slowly converting the family away from so much beef!), It says a serving size is 4 oz, would that be precooked or after cooking? or does it not matter if I don't add anything while cooking (this may be a silly question!)
