Help me calm my nerves!!! Wisdom teeth removal...
I can't sleep. I paid for my wisdom teeth removal surgery today ($2500 - ouch!). Surgery day is Friday. I've been lying awake in bed saying well maybe I don't really need it. I should just cancel. I know it's going to hurt... when I wake up anyway! The surgeon referred to one of my teeth as "nasty" as it is impacted and…

Confused! I think I might be pregnant. Negative tests.
I'm wondering if I could be pregnant? I feel like I'm going slightly mad.... My last period started the 21st of June. So I'm at least 10 days late? I'm usually clockwork. I'm bloated My breasts are tender and my fiance noted that the nipples are darker I look like a teenager thanks to awesome pimples I am exhausted. I can…

Water aerobics....
I've just moved towns and group exercise sessions are limited so I tried water aerobics... Geesh I HURT. Especially in my shoulders!!! It's such a low calorie burn but I guess it's useful??? I've always had the image of water aerobics being for old nannas!

I've been on MFP for over a year!
I have lost 11kg in the year I have been on MFP. I am not at goal weight. But I need to start recognising the work I've already done. I saw this picture tonight: I STILL see myself as the girl who weighs 84kg (185lbs). I STILL see myself as the overweight girl! This was pointed out to me by my fiance tonight. After I…
-
Opinion?
I've been hanging around MFP for about 280 days now. My weightloss effort has gone up and down. The important thing for me isn't I haven't completely given in. Realistically I haven't lost any weight since June/July, which is disappointing. However, life happens and I've maintained. This is something I've never really done…

New to fitbit...
Hi! I got a new fitbit and it's lots of fun to play around with. I have managed to sync my fitbit to MFP. I'm wondering if I still log my exercises with MFP or just let the fitbit do the adjustment? A tad confused. Thanks :) Any other tips on using the two would be great!!!

Olympic Costume Party
I'm going to an olympic themed thing at work tomorrow and we have to dress up as something olympics-y. Two options: Olympic Goddess American Basketballer (I'm Aussie) I'm leaning towards basketball for comfort. Would love any ideas either way?

What are the benefits of Almond Milk?
I read somewhere that you should drink Almond Milk versus Skim Milk? I tried it today and it tastes fine. The only real difference I noticed was that it didn't have as much protein as regular milk? Anyway just hoping to look at if I should continue with Almond Milk or go back to regular stuff?

Small but significant...
160 odd days and I'm still here! Usually I would have given up long before now! I have lost about 10kilos. I had lost that since March-ish. The important thing! I might not have lost anymore yet but I haven't put it back on! I'm still here and I'm still going to keep going despite how I might feel sometimes …

So uncomfortable. Frustrated with myself!
Accountability checkin? I plain suck at the moment. I'm so down on myself. I feel so uncomfortable in my own skin. It's only been two weeks. Two weeks can undo so much hard work! I've gained at least two kilos if not more by now. The trigger is definitely uni! For some reason I absolutely cannot juggle uni and looking…

Anxiety/Depression
Interesting tidbits from a training I went to recently: Psychologists are now routinely assessing nutrition and exercise in mental health assessments. Exercise is an effective treatment for mild-moderate depression. Initial researchers felt that one of the key distinctions between anxiety and depression was that anxiety…

When others don't notice.... NSV
I went to a family gathering today. I hadn't seen my grandparents since Christmas. I have lost 11kg (24 lbs) since then. My mum and grandma both noticed and commented on my weight loss and how good I was looking. That was fantastic. My granddad didn't notice and this meant so much more. He has never commented on my weight…

Needing a kick in the bum
This is going to be a bit of a "pity party" post. I've been feeling down for about the last month. I had been doing ok with the exercise and eating healthy thing up until I went on holiday and got sick (about three weeks ago). All up I am still up about a kilo in comparison to pre holiday weight. I've been feeling down…

I think I was a little bit snappy?
I was at work yesterday and we had a function thing which had delicious brownies. I had 2-3 (and yes I logged them). One of my coworkers who is very tall and very slim said "What # is that for you" - as she had eaten a few too and I replied. One of our other coworkers who is just starting a new diet replied "I hope you…

I'm looking forward to........
going on holidays taking lots of pictures and not worrying about looking "fat".... So many beautiful memories tinged with sadness because of this. Slowly but surely I will get there!!!

Advice!!! Goal Weight??
I'm hoping someone can help with some advice as to what goal weight I should be aiming for - it can get confusing!!! In my mind when I decided to take action I chose 60kg (132.3lbs) as my goal weight. I am 175 cms tall (5foot8 - I think!) and currently weigh 73.7kg (162.5lbs). I have told a few close family/friends my goal…

Wisdom Teeth Removal
I've just been to the dentist today and advised that I need to have two wisdom teeth removed. One is impacted so this needs to happen surgically. I have a tentative surgery date of 01 June but am not able to have my consultation until 16 May (I live in a regional area). I'm a nervous nelly. I have always been scared of the…

Killer Buns and Thighs
Hi! My b/f recently bought me Jillian's KB&T DVD and I'm looking at starting this soon. I would love to do this with some lovely MFPs! Is anyone doing it or planning on doing it in the next few weeks? I finished 30DS this month and I'm currently doing a mixture of NMTZ and BFBM but would love to start KB&T soon : )

Results!
I'm done - and I did it in 30 days : ) I am most proud of my sense of accomplishment. I am fairly happy with the results too. I lost 2.2 kg (about 4 lbs). Weight loss wasn't great but I'm liking my pics (before, week 1, finish): I'll be sad to not check in with you lovely ladies every day. Thank you so much for your…

Day 27
Day 27 - I can't believe I made it this far in 27 days lol. So technically it is 12:38AM and I just finished so I might not have technically done it on the 27th day but it's close enough. Three days to go!

Day 21
First day of level 3! Just to share my thoughts keeping in mind I may be a tad emotional at the moment... I felt a bit lost because I had no idea what was coming up or how most of the moves were going to look My knee popped out when doing the jump lunges...so that put me off a bit I could not for the life of me work out…

Day 13
"I want you to feel like you're going to die" Mission accomplished... Thanks Jillian :) I'm wondering if there is anybody out there that has managed to successfully transition from a night exerciser to a morning exerciser.. I did it at 11:30PM tonight - was procrastinating. I've also noticed I am keeping up a little bit…

Day 19
So it was pretty good - much easier. Because I ate too much today I had to do extra exercise so I added in level 1 saying to myself "by day 10 it was pretty easy you can totally do it". I did it - but it was NOT easy. I'm thinking it might be because I had already done level 2 or that my muscles aren't as used to the level…

Day 12
Done! Feeling the arms!

Day 9
Done! One day closer to level 2 :) Melissa - how is level 2 treating you? I'm finding the workout quite comfortable now. I probably should have gone up in the hand weights too but I'm content to stay with the ones I've got. Hope you're all having a great day

Day 5
Hi guys - I did day 5 today. I'm feeling really good! One thing I'm suprised at is that my body hasn't been sore during the past 5 days at all. The first time I attempted the 30 DS I just remember being in soo much pain. I wonder what is going on with that? Another positive - a friend stated that she thought my arms were…
