Micronor Mini Pill and Weight Gain...
So I started on the mini pill at the end of last year, the first one they put me on gave me vile mood swings and at the beginning of this year I started on Micronor. It has been fine, with the exception of having gained about a stone in weight. It has changed my hunger levels and I struggled with that daily, however I have…

Are there any other Karate people out there???
At the beginning of this year I stepped way outside of my comfort zone and took up karate. It has been a great journey and one I have enjoyed, although there were days when I had to really force myself to go, I'm glad I have done so. I have developed an absolute LOVE of karate, I entered my first tournament a couple of…

Nutrition Information...
So I went a little crazy with my workouts last week and think I have possibly over done it.... yesterday afternoon I crashed on the couch and could barely move all day! I've been training, going to the gym and finished the week up with a day of paintballing and then drinking and dancing at a party all night. i admit that…

What do you do...
.....with the clothes that you have "shrunk" out of???? And how long do you leave it before you buy new clothes? Typically the clothes I grow out of I take the to charity shop BUT I thought how cool would it be to have a group where you could pass the clothes up or on. I know from my experience that over the last 10 months…

Weights and toning question
I do resistance training at the gym 2-3 times per week. My goal is not necessarily to have bulging biceps, I want to increase and tone my muscle, but my main focus at the moment is that with losing so much weight I want to make sure I don't end up just "sagging"... Is it better to do heavy weights with a few reps or do…

Eating before or after exercise...
I have yet to find a good routine for eating and exercise. I try and eat before I work out, but don't always have time, and then when I get home sometimes its late and I feel guilty eating late in the evening.. So my question is when is the best time to eat in relation to exercise, and what type of food should you eat…

Toning Arms..
Anyone have any good exercise suggestions for toning arms... the part of my arm I am most concerned about is that bottom part of your arm just right by your armpit...after losing weight, these seem to develop in to "bat wings" :)

I just realised...
how far I have actually come. Like most of us I get days when I am hard on myself, and during one such day my Sister pointed out a picture that I used to love because, believe it or not, I thought it was a flattering picture. This was taken in December 2009, it was the last picture I allowed to be taken of me at "that…

Exercise Calories Question...
I do karate twice a week. For a 90 minute martial arts session MFP gives me an additional 1269 calories and for my 120 minute session it gives me an additional 1669 - these all seem very high.... any ideas???

Struggling to consume enough calories
I'm struggling to consume enough calories as advised by MFP. On days when I go to my karate training it allows me 1200+ extra calories and so consequently I end up being under in recommended intake by about 700 calories. And its worse still on a Friday night when I have a 2 hour training session, because it gives me an…

Could use some advice on exercise schedule
I get bored easily but have found a workout schedule that I enjoy and know I can stick with, however I'm struggling with the "weights" part of it, I really hate doing my weights workout so tend to sometimes skip it.... it may be in part because the gym I go to is ALWAYS crowded at times when I am able to go, but finances…

Half way through my journey
I'm 16 months in to my journey.... so far I have lost 74lbs and I do feel great, although I'm only at my half way point, and I still feel like I have a long way to go. I have joined MFP to get back to keeping track of my caloric intake/exercise as I seem to have plateaued, and to hopefully have some support on the final…

After losing 74lbs I need to break Plateau
I made a lifestyle change in February 2010 and have since lost a total of 74lbs to date and I feel great. I have over the time increased my activity level, whilst keeping a relatively close watch on the food and calories I'm consuming. I seem to have reached a plateau though and can't seem to break it. As far as calories I…
