It's my one-year anniversary....

I gave myself one year to be smoke-free without making any other drastic changes. Well, not only did I manage to maintain my weight, I lost 8 lbs in the process with watching my…

Is there a way to reset weight.....start over
I was on here in 2007 and lost 9 kg. I kept it off but I am back on again and would like to reset my goals to a fresh start and not have it build off the old 9 kg. For example when I record a .05 kg weight loss, it says I lost 9.5. I would like it just to show the weight I am interested in now. How do I get rid of the old…

changing over to maintenance
How do you change over to maintenance calories? When I put in that I've reached my goal weight it still recommends that I eat 1200 calories and tells me I should lose x amount by x time. This can't be correct for maintenance? Thanks!

Holiday Eating Tips
1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls and fritos... 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year…

Help....need bike info
My husband bought me a mountain bike for my b'day. I told him that I wanted a bike more geared for exercise since I have a typical city bike right now (high handlebars....comfortable sitting position....basket on the front for shopping :blushing:). My problem or question is that I rode it today and I feel like I am…

Pancake Syrup made from DATES!
I bought some syrup for my daughter and didn't really look at the bottle.....it's made out of pure dates rather than the regular maple syrup (and it's pretty gross). It was 10 euro so I hate to just throw it away. Anyone have any ideas what I can make with it????

Pilates Energy Booster
I have marble floors and even with a thick yoga mat, after doing pilates, my back hurts. So I got a new cd that is called "pilates energy booster" with Ana Cabàn (it is only 12 minutes). I did that today before another exercise video and found that it was much better than the longer sessions (back wise) of pilates and I…

Anti-Depressants = Increased Appetite & Slower Metabolism
Okay, I posted something about this a few days ago, but wanted to update incase anyone is taking an anti-depressant and is having difficulty losing weight or having unexplained weight gain (or loss on the other end for some people). I have been here for TWO years trying to lose like 14 lbs that I put on slowly over a…

Zoloft
I have been taking a very low dosage of Zoloft for the past three years and have just kind of put two and two together. I gained a few stubborn pounds slowly over this time (ALL in my stomach) and just have had the hardest time getting rid of them. I also feel tired a lot and have tried many things to get rid of this and…

Stuffed Eggplant
My dinner last night: Cut eggplant in half lengthwise. Rub cut surface with olive oil and bake cut side down at 190°C for 30 min. Scoop out pulp. Sauteè pulp and 1/2 small, chopped onion in butter or oil until onion is soft. Add appx. 100 grams of tuna. Stir. (I think this would be good with sauteèd celery, too). Spoon…

OT_Murder in Itay this weekend
I live in Italy in a very, very small village. I think the entire area is less than 2,000 people. It's always been really quiet and I've been pretty content on raising my daughter here. Well, Saturday morning there was a murder just down the road from my shop....my address is 201, this was 72. A man killed his mother and…

Why do you work out?
Me: I love the way that I feel when I'm done (even though I have to talk myself into actually doing it), I want to look nice in just jeans and a sweater again, to get my thighs to stop to rubbing together and making my shorts slowly inch up when I'm walking.

OT - Joke - Read at own Risk
A woman was in a coma. She had been in it for months. Nurses were in her room giving her a bed bath. One of them was washing her private area and noticed that there was a slight response on the monitor whenever she touched her there. They tried it again and sure enough, there was definite movement. They went to her husband…

Back from Vacation
I just got back from a three-week vacation in South France and am happy to say that I didn't gain ANY weight (nor did I lose any). I decided before I left to just enjoy the time with my daughter and not worry so much about food as it can become obsessive. We ate out quite often and I think I ate ice cream almost every…

Frustrated!!!!
I have 5 more lbs to lose and no matter what I do, they just will not budge! I have NO idea what else I can do. I have tried everything and they are just glued to me. My goal weight was 130, but maybe I am just meant to be 135. Should I just leave it at that and stop trying? I DO NOT feel good like this though. I know I…

I got spanked!
Seriously, I bought a pair of spanks and I love them!!!! I bought the full-body pair. I have about 5 more pounds to lose and they are being very, very stubborn. The spanks kind of squashed those extra lbs evenly so I can actually see what I would look like if they ever do come off. In the meantime, I am not leaving the…

Weighing Foods - FYI
I have an electric kitchen scale and have noticed lately that a lot of the weights of foods are incorrect. For example: a yogurt that should weigh 125 grams might weight only 105..... a tin of drained tuna that should weight 56 grams might weight only 45..... or a piece of bread that should weight 23 grams actually weighs…

Does Fear Burn Calories?
Last night I went for a bike ride. I waited until after 9 p.m., until the temp cooled down to about 85 / 90 degrees so that I didn't roast to death. To avoid traffic, I went back in the fields where the tractors have made a kind of road going back and forth. Well, it started to get dark, and having recently watched a show…

need suggestions....ruined my entire day
Today for lunch I had a salad with a little tuna for some protein. However, shortly after, I went kind of crazy and ate some chocolate chips mixed with peanuts. The total calories were over 500, which kind of ruined the rest of my day. I have to work until 8 p.m., (here it is already 4:30 p.m.) then make dinner for the…
