Mediterranean Diet
Is anyone on the Mediterranean diet? I found a group but there is no activity. Was wondering how this way of eating is working out for those of you who follow it.

First Major Victory
I started this journey (again) in January. As of today, I'm down 36.4 pounds and am finally in "Onederland"!!! I'm so excited! Haven't seen that in years. Thanks, MFP! I couldn't do it without you!

First Major Victory
Stepped on the scale today and I'm down 36.4 lbs. Best of all, I'm finally in "Onederland"!!! Haven't seen that in years. What victories have you had lately? Oops, I put this in the wrong category. Sorry about that.

What is going on?
Did somebody hijack the boards? All I see is posts by Vashikaran...or something on that order. When I click on my topics, it keeps coming back to that crap.

50 Pounds Down
I started with MFP in 2011. I was exercising regularly with some of my coworkers and had lost 33 pounds. After each workout, I could barely move so I gave up. The weight came back on, of course. In 2014, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips and back. The pain was excruciating, and I couldn't rise up from a seated…

Weight loss
I "unofficially" weighed myself yesterday, and have lost another pound. One more to go, and I'll hit 30!!! I sure wish I could exercise and burn extra calories, but this weather is killing me!!!! It wouldn't be so bad if it was only my hip, or back, or knee hurting, but when all of them are acting up, I don't even feel…

Time Flies
I can't believe it's almost October! Where has time gone? Autumn has always been my favorite time of year, but for the first time in my life, I'm a little apprehensive. These fluctuations in weather have really fired up my arthritis. Gosh, it's hard to admit that I'm growing old! I know it's a gift, but why does it have to…

Day 30
9/26: Well, I lost 3 lbs. but 2 of them were what I'd gained from my 2 days of eating lasagna and strawberry pretzel salad. On the bright side, I just have 3 more to go before I hit a grand total of 30 pounds since rejoining MFP. I don't know what I'd do without this site, and all you wonderful, supportive people! So glad…

Day 29
9/25 I got myself under control, and was under my calorie goal. That 2 day hiatus cost me 2 lbs. Unless the heavens open up and send me a miracle, I won't be reaching my 10 lb. goal by the first. Oh, well, it was wonderful getting to see all the progress everyone else is making! Have a wonderful Friday, friends!!!

Good Morning, Northeast Ohio!!
Good morning, all! After the beautiful day we had yesterday, I'm bummed about todays' weather forecast! I so don't need it to be cool and damp at the same time! On a happy note, I lost 1 pound yesterday!!! So glad I broke through that plateau I'd been on!!! Have a great day!!!

Day 24
9/20 I lost another pound! Thanks to that darn plateau I was on, I've only lost a total of 3 lbs. for this challenge so far, but I'll take it! Can we do another challenge for November? I like our little group, and would love to stay together!

Day 22
9/18 It was a beautiful day in Northeast Ohio. At work, I decided to take a new consumer out for a little stroll around the grounds. He has an older wheelchair which is harder to push, so I only made it 17 minutes before the muscles in my arms became fatigued. Oh, well, that's 180-some calories I wouldn't have burned if I…

Hello, Everybody!
Hi, all! I'm Michelle, and I live just outside of Youngstown, in Mineral Ridge. I was made in Michigan, but my husband and I moved to his hometown in 2000. I never had any serious weight problems until after the birth of my last child, when I was 41. It wasn't too long after that I was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth…

Day 19
9/15 Had a good day. My husband and I met up with my brother and his girlfriend for lunch before going to get my shot. I had a large grilled chicken salad and water. I had to add snacks to my day, as I wasn't close enough to my calorie goal. I have strange eating times, as I work afternoons and I'm not hungry until later…

Day 16
9/12 I've been under my calorie goal every day and am still stuck on the plateau. Just when I think I might feel well enough to start exercising, and the weather changes. It was cold and damp yesterday, and I was hurting pretty bad all over. I'm thinking that I'll need a few shots to the groin because the ball and socket…

Day 14
9/10: I didn't weigh myself. Don't know if it's because I didn't want to be disappointed, or because I had errands to run. Either way, we are two weeks into the challenge and I'm beginning to doubt that I'll drop 10 lbs. :grumble: I was under my calorie goal even though I broke down and ate a Filet 'o Fish from McDonald's.…

Day 9
Managed to get a 30 minute swim in before going to work, and kept under my calorie goal. Unfortunately, the scale is at a standstill.

How to log walking while pushing someone in a wheelchair
I sometimes take wheelchair bound consumers for walks. I tried to log it in my exercise journal, but the only thing I could find was "Running, training, pushing wheelchair". I walked someone at a leisurely pace for 27 minutes. Since it was found under running, not walking, will it calculate the amount of calories burned…

Day 5
Sept. 1st was a beautiful day! Started out a little overcast, but then the sun came out. I was able to spend 65 minutes in the pool with my son, and earned and extra 531 calories from swimming. Had a delicious dinner at my in-law's and still was under my calorie goal by 649. Now if only every day could be as good!
-
Day 2
Had another good day....255 calories to spare, but I went over by 5 on fat. It's my mother-in-law's birthday today, so I guess those extra calories will come in handy if I slip a little. At least I hope that's how it works!

Vitamins
Right now, I'm on a large dose of vitamin D. The doctor said I was pretty low. What vitamins, if any, do you all take, and do you notice a difference in your overall health?

What is Your Favorite Vacation Spot and Why?
Mine is Negril, Jamaica. The crystal clear water of Seven Mile Beach, and the friendly people, keep calling me back. The fact that it's only about a 4 hour plane ride is also a plus!

Lost 3 more pounds
Baby steps, but I'm heading in the right direction. Lost a total of 12 so far!

Wish I had his weight problem
My husband is 51 years old. He's 6'2" and 143 lbs. He has ADHD, and an injured spine. The man can eat sweets like there's no tomorrow and not gain an ounce. He's been pretty sedentary for the last 2 years because of his injuries, yet still doesn't gain weight. I'm really worried about him. He's a very picky eater, too.…

Starting Over with Degenerative Joint Disease
I've been away for awhile and am in serious need of help. I've gained all my weight back, and to top things off, was recently diagnosed with degenerative joint disease in both hips. I also was told I have a lot of arthritis in my lower back. I had one appt. at a pain clinic, but so far, no cortisone shots or pain meds. I…

Dr. Oz and supplements
Do any of you take supplements? I watched Dr. Oz one afternoon, and he suggested 7 Keto to boost metabolism and Saterial Saffron Extract to curb the appetite. Have any of you tried these? I know nothing takes the place of fitness and a healthy diet; I was just wondering if these were a worthwhile, healthy boost, and would…

My NSV
Last spring, I bought a cute top at a resale shop to take with me on vacation. I didn't try it on because according to the tag, and the way it looked, I figured it would fit me. I took it home and washed it. Before placing it in the suitcase, I decided to try it on. I got it over my head, but wouldn't you know, the side…
