Well, would you rather have some lose skin or have more and more mobility and health problems as you age?
I'd opt for lose skin any day.
With youth on your side there is a good chance your skin will recover to a certain extent.
Put your stats into MFP and give yourself a small goal to begin with. Once you are use to weighing and logging your food you can up your deficit if you wish.
Exercise is good for your health, waking is good to start, but not needed for weight loss.
Cheers, h.8 -
Go for it. Even if you get loose skin from losing such a large amount of weight, you never know what the future will bring. Surgery is available. You might come into money or work out a payment plan. I wish for you to meet your goal weight.3

And also, how tall are you, since your goal is to weigh only 100-110lbs?2

Well, you’re not going to lose skin, but you might have loose skin. I’ve lost 85# and I certainly do. It’s not worth being “terrified” — it is what it is.7

No one wants loose skin. It is more important to get yourself to a healthy weight, then deal with any skin issues. Your skin is what it is. It won't get bigger. Would you rather keep it filled with fat as it is now?3

How about setting some interim goals and evaluate as you go You'll be more satisfied with your appearance if you make a plan to eat at a modest deficit rather than going for broke, get all the nutrition & hydration you need to be healthy, and add in some exercise as you feel able. Take "diet breaks" along the way (eat at your then-maintenance) & decide if you want to continue the loss process or stop and hold.

When you're dressed no one will even know if your have loose skin or not. Being overweight/obese is impossible to hide and is a lot more unattractive than some loose skin here or there, not to mention the health risks that inevitabley come along with being overweight.
Plus you don't even know yet if you will have any skin issues, there are plenty of people who have lost a lot of weight and never got any loose skin at all.8 -
I have some loose skin on my stomach...three pregnancies, the last two close together, plus weight gain on my smaller frame did that to me. It's not terrible though and it sure beats diabetes staring at me in the face (runs in the family, plus I had elevated glucose levels with my last pregnancy)...I may not have the confidence yet to wear a bikini...but I am healthier after the weight loss8

Oh I’m sorry, I read your original post as your goal being to LOSE 150lb.
Depending on genetics you might not actually have much loose skin at all. Don’t let the fear of what MAY happen stop you before you’ve begun.11 -

@MsHarryWinston it’s only about 107lbs to lose which seems like it’s not much just hard to stay on track0 -
Don't let the possibly of loose skin be an excuse to not lose weight regardless of what you feel about loose skin. There are many factors to loose skin: genetics, age, environment, amount to be lost etc etc. Some people are quite fortunate and have minimal loose skin. Don't judge the amount of loose skin by what you initially see, for some people it can take up to a couple of years for loose skin to 'shrink' back.5

Hey you are young and resilient and your skin will contract over time. Just use a really good cocoa butter cream like Palmer's. About 10 years ago I lost 50lb and I cannot tell you the joy it brought to my life. People just treat you better - I know it's unfair but it is the truth6

Thank you everyone0

You know its sad but true. People treat you differently... in the good way. I know i lost weight for health reason but losing weight does give you a confidence boost, energy, and better health.1 -
I think it will be okay!
I was about 220, now 140. I lost most of it within nine months. I think I look good, not much loose skin at all, just a little on my back, below the bra line - but part of that may be that I'm 60+ years old!
It's so worth it - your life will be so much better in every way, not the least of which is self-confidence and health. I would never go back to my old self.6 -

I'm with saraonly9913. Go for it. I started at 265, I'm now 228 & still loosing. Start walking. Walk when even u can. Also, start some sort of strength training program to tone. The loose skin will be an afterthought when u start droppin those lb's. U will say to yourself, what the heck was I afraid of again. Good Luck to u in ur journey.2
