Maintaining in summer months....hardest time of the year?
For the second year in a row this is proving to be the toughest time of the year to maintain as I'm up a couple lbs. More BBQ, ice cream, beer and family dinners/vacations. I know I'll get back on track once fall is here is over but really shows you can't out exercise a bad diet as I've been continuing lots of exercise....…

Calorie goal question
I'm not at maintenance, but I want advice from those who have been there and succeeded--you! I'm 5'6 and currently weigh 163. I started at 220 last October. I'd like to lose another 15-20 pounds and I'd like advice on where to set my calorie goal. Currently it is at 1280 and it has been working well, but I've also read a…

Should I up my intake?
I'm 5'5, lightly active. Since I hit 56kg, I decided to begin maintaining at 1800 kcal. Weight dropped to 55kg so I upped it to 2000-2200 kcal (usually at the lower end). It has been 2 weeks and this morning my weight drops again to 54kg. Has this happened to anyone? I'm a little scared. Should I bump my intake up again or…

Nearing goal weight
Hi, I've lost 50lb on a very low cal diet and I'm getting near maintaince now but I'm a bit worried as to how I'll maintain, I love my shake at breakfast so I was wondering if anyone had used a protein shake for breakfast and then eaten sensibly the rest of the day, I'm very carb sensitive so don't want to go back to…

What do I do once I reach my goal?
I am almost at my goal weight. I know I will have to continue to count calories and exercise in order to maintain the weight. How do I set up the program to tell me how many calories to consume each day? In other words, I am 6'5", weigh 230lbs. What should my calorie intake be to maintain that weight?

Maintaining at 1400
Before you all say that I am doing it wrong, please read my post. I came from the 1200 calorie diet and increased it slowly to reach maintenance. (MFP said that my maintenance calories is 1600. I tried to reach it slowly, but I gained weight when I reached 1600--so I had to cut back) I have been on the 1400-1450 diet for 3…

Are 1600 calories a lot?
I finally decided to maintain my weight at 121 lbs, height 5'3 ft, 19 years old, sometimes I feel like 1600 calories are not enough, many TDEE calculators gave me 1500-1600ish,but it's not enough:// like there's not enough space for food and it sucks, I don't eat junk food and I try to get my nutrition , still not…

Maintenance Range
My goal weight is 186 pounds, which I'm on track to make by New Year's. As I transition into maintenance at that point, what would you recommend for the weight range to stay in, e.g., 183-189, 181-191--in other words, how many pounds above/below my goal weight is good amount to stay in? Thanks in advance!

Question about tracking weight in maintenance.
I finally reached my goal weight and switched to maintenance. I am a daily weigher and I track my weight on Libra. While I was losing weight I tracked on Libra daily and only logged losses on mfp. My question is when you are on maintenance do you still log your weight in mfp? I was thinking about just logging it weekly on…

Maintenance break-feelings so far
Hello all. I'm 5'3, starting weight 200, currently 185. I've been at a moderate deficit (eating around 1700 plus exercise calories) for about 9 weeks, lifting heavy 3x per week for 5 weeks and aiming for 10,000 steps or more every day. I read about maintenance or diet breaks on bodyrecomposition.com and was immediately…

How important are macros for recomp?
I have my macros set for 40/30/30 and protein should be around 106. Some days I get that but mostly I average 80s and go way over on my fat. I still pretty much keep my cals but carbs are low even though I eat veg fruit and grains everyday. I still go over on fat. Does this mean is will be hard for me to get leaner? I read…

Some help with my calories please

Maintain weight while toning
Can anyone give me advice on what I need to do in terms of calories if I'm strength training to tone up without losing anymore weight? I'm 5"8 and 154lbs.

question?
this might be a stupid question so just say so if it is lol so, if the maintance calories for goal weight (for your height, age, sex etc) were say 1500, if you ate at that from the start would you just keep loosing weight until you hit the goal weight and automatically then be eating at maintance??

Hello there! I'm 20, 5'11" and have successfully lost 43 kg so far. I'm happy with my weight as I'm tall and have a large built. Just started maintenance and gained straight away
Hey, I'm 2lbs up over the w/end which I'm fairly sure is water weight as I've eaten a lot more than normal (without 'going') and I've been to the gym both days so I'm a bit sore. On maintenance at what point do you act in gains, normally my water weight goes after a few days but if it doesn't do I need to look at fewer…

Maintaining weight while slimming down?
I'm at the point in my workouts that I've finally reached my goal weight (actually a little lower, so I will probably eat a surplus until I get there). Body recomp question?
I'm aware that this takes time and is difficult, however, is body recomp possible when you still have some fat on your body? I'm just worried I'll be gaining muscle under fat if I do this. Long story short, I'm 110lbs, 5'3, and a body fat % of about 22/23 depending on the calculator. I'm seeing a therapist who doesn't…

Stopping logging and weighing?
Hello everyone :) A little background, I've been maintaining 112lbs/8 stone loss for under 6 months. It took me about a year to lose it, and I've built some very good habits. Recently I've found prelogging & logging in general gets me very obsessive about the numbers and about food in general. I have no cheat day but I try…
