You would be close if you are working hard enough. Wear a HRM when working out. It helps you get a feel for what you have to do to get a good calorie burn.

I don't have a HRM it's on the list after the £200 running shoes I'm going to have to buy if I want to do a half marathon next year. :(

presumably you need specialist shoes if they're £200?

I'd say 600 calories seems about right for an hour if it's pretty intense.

The shoes sound terribly expensive. I did one half marathon in some £40 asics and another in £80 Nike Frees. The asics were better!

You can get a Polar FT4 from amazon for about £40.

Yes unfortunately I have a displaced bone in my foot which has caused aligment problems which has lead to slipped discs and the shoes will have a custom made insole I have a similar insole in my ski boots from the same company.

Seems high. At that bodyweight you'd have to be killing yourself with it for the entire time

600 seems a little high to me, but not out of the realm of possibility.

What's the circuit made up of? How long do you rest between sets/stations?

height has no impact on calorie burns.

    That makes no sense.

I'm over 2 stone over weight so I have to lug two extra stone around but someone who is the same weight but 6" taller wouldn't be over weight so wouldn't be lugging around the extra weight surely I would burn more due to the extra weight for my height?

    Actually, that makes no sense.

Calories are a measure of work, of energy spent. Height has no impact on how hard you work to do something. Weight? Sure, height, nope. Moving 200lbs 1 mile down the road takes the same amount of energy whether you're 5' tall or 7' tall.
