It's pretty creepy that he is now using pictures of doctors as Avatars...trying to "friend" people. Ugh.

I wonder if it's the same source as the Stephentownsend ID variations a while back, similar pattern. And some image searched and that guy's photos were of a (real) general in the army actually named Stephen Townsend, almost certainly not the person actually posting.

Aren't catfishers always doctors, lawyers, engineers, army officers?

Oh, it's almost certainly the same guy or a group of them, there are a lot of romance scammers out there and they always use those kind of images.

So, yeah. I so want to "friend" him and see what he does.

Go ahead and take one for the team. I'd be interested in knowing that, too. I think the MFP staff will delete the profile, but I don't know that they're around on the weekends. They get to have lives, too, I suppose.

As you know, but others may not, the spam mods and regular mods are volunteers (just MFP users), so may be randomly around even on weekends.

@Adventurista, if you used "Flag" then "Report", as might be logical in a case like this one, that doesn't result in a visible flag on the post, but does send the report to the moderator queue for their review. The "Spam" or "Abuse" options under "Flag" do result in a visible flag on the post.
