5:2 diet. I have a couple of questions for anyone on this diet.

Hi,
Would just like to know how do you know
Which days to fast?
How many days between your fasting days?
I'm just starting this diet I had my first fast day on the 6th of Oct and another fast day today is that too far apart should I do another fast day this week?
What do you eat of your fast days?

Monday and Friday are not too far apart. You just need to pick 2 days within a week or at least average that. There is no secret to the 5:2 ratio. The author just couldn't stick to alternate day fasting so he tried 5:2 and found it worked for him. Any amount of fasting is found to have overall health benefits and weight loss benefits.
I do alternate day fasting and eat a lot of different things on my fast days but mostly vegetables, soups and lean protein, for the satiety.0
