    When I first started here, I thought they were annoying, too. But then I thought it might be fun to watch my progress on it...and it was! :)

    I have mixed feelings about them myself. I think if people are posting a lot in the a thread, I don't need to see their ticker over and over. And I noticed there was this tendency on some people's part to believe anything someone who had lost a lot of weight said... as if losing 100 pounds made one an expert in everything. B)

    But I like having them to some extent. I just think there had to be a better way to do it and your idea of having some info under the avatar seems like a good compromise.
