Just taking a survey. I'm currently grinding up oatmeal into a powder in my whey shakes to get the calories up.

I pretty much just used oatmeal if I needed to add a quick chunk of carbs to a shake or something. I use Xtend Endurance during my workout if I'm bulking too.

Might be a stupid question, but what's the point of a carb powder? I don't eat grains (celiac) and still manage to get a crap-ton of carbs in every day. I'm all for more knowledge, though!

I use CytoSport CytoCarb for long endurance events. I haven't tried it for muscle gains/bulking though. It doesn't have a taste and mixes pretty well in just water. It isn't super high calorie though (210 cals for 56 grams), but it is pretty affordable.

Powders are helpful for intra-workout drinks (sports drinks like gatorade for example) or for adding to a shake (generally a protein shake) to easily supplement some extra calories/carbs when needed.

I add fruit and veggies to raw, whole milk for a boost in protein as well as calories.
I don't like protein powders, because who knows what's really in those buckets with a fancy label claim?

Recently started using VPX Carbonix (1/2 scoop) as an intraworkout mixed with 7 grams BCAA's on weight training days. Love the stuff...works well in post workout shake as well (1 scoop). I have used Karbolyn and Vitargo in the past but I much prefer VPX (I get the chocolate flavor)...stuff ain't cheap though!
