1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
3/4 cup butter milk
4 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled
2 large eggs
1 cup of dried figs chopped
400 degrees
line 12 muffin cups with paper liners spray liners with nonstick spray combine flour baking powder baking soda salt and cinnamon in large bowl whisk applesauce buttermilk 3 tablespoons honey butter and eggs in med bowl add applesauce mixture and figs to flour mixture stir to blend fill muffin cups evenly bake 18 mins check brush tops of muffins with remaining honey 1 muffin 175 cal 4g fat 44 mg chol 277 mg sod 31 g carb 4g fib 34g prot

    Thanks for sharing this recipe! My husband loves figs and anything apple so this is bound to be a winner. Just a question - I assume this should read 1 and one-third cups flour? (1 1/3) Thanks, dvdlover!
