I *love* chocolate. Since getting my act together about food, I am doing my best to limit the quantity and only eat high quality chocolate. But I could never imagine giving up chocolate altogether. And why would I? It's tasty, makes me happy, and hey, it could even have health benefits!

... yes. Just ask me how many dark chocolate covered almonds I ate last night.

Never giving up chocolate, I agree with you to stick to limiting it and going for higher quality cacao. I've noticed when I do the cravings aren't as bad because there is less added sugar. Us ladies have a special relationship with chocolate too because of hormones and stuff.

Me too! And, I have always like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate, so making the choice to make sure when I do eat it that it is dark has been pretty easy. I have to say, one of my favorite snacks since I started making healthier choices is Chobani's CocoLoco Greek yogurt flip. It's coconut yogurt with dark chocolate and sliced almonds. It's like an Almond Joy bar. Yum!!!

    Okay, I'll bite... how many?

(mmmm. chocolate almonds. another favourite of mine is chocolate-covered espresso beans. so much caffeine, so little willpower.)

LOL and here I was thinking that Marcolini was bad in terms of price: http://www.marcolini.be/. The flagship store looks like a fancy jewelery store.

Protip: Don't visit Belgium while watching your weight.

For good chocolate and red wine, I might even overlook your unfortunate choice of sports team long enough to become friends. :)

I moved to only using power dark chocolate from the grocery store. I do about 3-5 level tablespoons a day in hot water often with coffee. I think a tablespoon is about 30 calories mainly from fat but that is a plus with my diet. Carbs is the only thing I really limit.

In candy form I blow it on the carb side. :)

I love fancy chocolate. One of the lunch places I can't seem to quit (Hannah's Bretzel) has this whole wall of chocolates, both smaller and more interesting brands from the US and around the world. What makes it especially tempting is that many of them are sold in single serve quantities (as small as 9 grams, for example). I have been known to go there to buy lunch just to get the chocolate.

Come visit! Fair warning: Montreal is a *very* dangerous city for dieters.

Oh god I love chocolate. Last night I are teo pieces (each about 4cm^2) of German milk chocolate. Just put it on my tongue and let it melt. It's torture but it's so sweet.

There's a single bean varietal I like to buy, have only been able to find it in a couple places. $75 per 500gr in bulk.

Called Rey Sol. If you ever find some, try it, it's sublime. Quite excellent for a nice simple truffle.

Loveeeee chocolate. But since I've done such a sugar overhaul, only fine dark chocolate will do! My favorite is Equal Exchange Organic Panama Extra Dark 80% (single origin). No artificial ingredients, no soy lecithin. Tastes divine! I really savor 1-2 squares on most nights. It's about 24-44 calories, and so worth it! But really, enjoy the experience and be super mindful whole eating it. Smell the chocolate first, really inhale. Break it, let the chocolate melt in your mouth. Mmmm......

*sits down with some Brookside Dark Chocolate covered almonds* Dark chocolate covered espresso beans are also quite tasty, and I've read on a few occasions that caffeine and dark chocolate have some health benefits when consumed in moderation

    I square is 24 calories.
    2 squares are 44 calories.

You might want to review that.

Really, if that is all you can contribute to a post about chocolate lovers, why bother?
Seems you get off on pointless nitpicking rather than contributing anything meaningful.

To answer the Op, I like 70% Lindt or 81% from Lidl.

    Lindt is meh.

I've already provided a much higher quality rec. Catch up.

3.50am must be the time at which higher functions start to slow down.
    Fair enough.

However, your higher quality rec is most certainly not available in the Uk.
About the best locally is Godiva.

    That would explain your post.

You can get it in the UK. It's luxe though, not going to find it at the local kwik-e-mart.

    London most likely then.
I don't tend to shop at kwik-e-mart type places if I can help it.

    It's not Rey Sol, but...

I've gotten some pretty damn amazing single bean varietals from these guys, and this should be accessible for you.

Aha! I know these as they have a shop in my local shopping mall and I have in the past raided their Easter sales. I have so far, found their milk chocolate really sweet though. I am guessing you tried their darker stuff. I did try their, I think it was 100% dark and could not take it, haha.
