What is it you do again?

Seems I can tell people over and over that I work in instructional technology at a college, and even explain what it is, but it never sticks. I've resolved to tell people I teach.

Same here, but most people know that anymore so I stopped getting asked and they just make statements like, 'I could never run on that little sleep'.

Two questions I get often, "Do I know you?" because apparently I look like someone every knows. And "Do you know who you look like? " Because I also apparently resemble many a celebrity.

I don't have kids (I am 42) and people assume it is because I don't want them and so I do get asked that. See, for me - I would love to have kids, I just can't. So yeah, that is an awful question to ask someone without kids. The fact that I can't have them is very painful and the question just brings all that up.

And since I have lost weight I get a lot of questions about that - especially how much do I want to lose and how much do I want to weigh - sorry but that is none of anyone's business. I am looking to lose more than 100 lbs but I don't want people to know that - I carried it pretty well but seriously it seems obvious that I probably need to lose a lot. It is embarrassing - why do people ask that kind of stuff?
I always think of this when I meet people who don't have kids and it's the main reason I don't ask.

What do you do for a living?

(It's very unusual and comes with a long, complicated back-story. I usually just make up something simple and boring to throw people off the trail. I don't have time to go through all the details and answer your million questions about my weird life.)

For those who know me it's the 'How did you lose the weight? Was there a program you used?' Well for that I toute the benefits of MFP!!!

Mostly for strangers is the question about my kiddos 'Are they twins?' I literally JUST got asked this last night - their pic is my profile pic, no they aren't, he's 11 she's 9 they are 22.5 months apart. She's tall for her age and while they aren't twins they might as well be, they become more and more like twins every single day! They think alike, act alike, and look alike, so they could be twins, but nope two pregnancies and 22.5 months apart!

    "Do you eat?"
Yes, I eat. I eat and I fight. That burns a lot off.
