    They are! I had one when I was a kid (her name was Alanna) and I adored her. I came home from school one day and she was gone. Though my mom denies it 'til this day, I'm pretty the snake didn't actually die and she just gave her away because she was creeped out by her. I've been looking into getting a new one, though. They're really cool.
