It's funny seeing people's vastly different tastes. I'm not sure I've met anyone other than myself who actually enjoyed The Village, lol. And I really didn't like Frozen, I couldn't be any more sick of hearing about it, it's over-hyped more than any other film in existence!

There's a surprising amount of people citing The Room as the worst movie they've seen?! That movie is great. I'm curious what those who hated the room would think of even greater masterpieces, such as Birdemic or Things. http://youtu.be/PiqSuC8KkNU

I can't say for sure what the worst movie I've ever seen was. Right now the only thing present in my brain is Anchorman 2, which I watched about half of this weekend before giving up. And I only made it that far because I thought the movie was shorter than it really was. Ted was also high on my "I know I'm supposed to be laughing but this is just stupid" meter.

    Three recent turkeys:

    I, Frankenstein - Utter dross.
Nothing Left to Fear - more like nothing I want to watch
Deliver Us From Evil - deliver us from bad acting and an awful storyline. True story? Please.

Best film I've watched of late is Edge of Tomorrow. Loved Guardians of the Galaxy and the Purge sequel too.

And don't talk to me about Frozen...

Anaconda was so bad that my friend and I agreed that if one of us were ever really, REALLY angry with the other, then as a symbol of our anger we would give them that movie for Christmas. On VHS.

    Honorable Mentions:
    *Coyote Ugly
    *The Ninth Gate
    *Human Centipede 2

...And has anyone listed Showgirls yet?

Any of the Twilight movies... I mean come on, sparkly vampires?!

Also, this is the only movie that ever allowed this:

^^^ This would make me watch it (the Blade ending)
  • Prime and The Break Up. Also almost any movie with Seth Rogen. All just terrible!

I loved The Ninth Gate, it's hot. :o

As for the Twilight/Hunger Games/Young Adult Novel movies, I doubt I watch them all the way through so I don't think they would count as something I've seen.

I don't watch broadcast TV (not a hippie, just a tightwad with Netflix)

This means I don't see movie previews, have generally no idea what movies are in the theatre, and often base my decisions on the posters. Guy doing Kung Fu with things exploding in the background? Oh yes. Generic young actress looking wistfully into the camera? Pass.

So a few years ago I was leaving the theatre and saw a poster with a vampire on a dark background and something vampire-y written under it. I love gothic horror: vampires, werewolves, wraiths, love them all. So I went. I paid my money. I left, horrified. Not because the movie had been a thrilling and terrifying tale, but because I had unwittingly been sucked (no pun intended) into watching Twilight.

Now I ALWAYS check out movies online first.

The American...wanted my money back, and the 2 hours of my life back and I still want to tell George Clooney if he ever makes a mistake like that again I will never go see him in another movie. :)
  • How are you all forgetting about:
    Beverly Hillbillies movie
    Mr Mcgoo movie
    Noah
    Any Saw sequel

I absolutely hated Silent House. The Devil Inside is also a close 2nd hatred.

I dislike most movies with Will Ferrell, as he is not funny to me.

All Twilight movies annoy me with its bad acting/writing.

Agreed that Frozen is WAYYYY overhyped. It's a typical Disney movie, nothing that special about it.

Sex and the City 2 - I was embarrassed for the actresses in the movie.
Love Actually - too many cliches. Too contrived. Makes me gag just thinking about it.

For stupidity, it would have to be Cable Guy; for creepiness, it would be Talk to Her.
