I am so ready to start the shred again. I had to quit about a week ago because I got an injury. Unfortunately I have to hold off on jogging a little longer but at least I am able to exercise again. YAY!!!!!0
-
If you don't have a HRM, what would you log this as under exercise??0
-
Thanks, skywalker! I think I can follow this thread now that I found it !:blushing:
I shall start tomorrow and let you know how my body responds to it.0 -
I haven't gotten shin splints from L2 either.
I think most of us w/out an HRM log it as Circuit Training, General.
Will be shredding soon. Need to burn of the alcohol from last night!0 -

I log it as circuit training, and I've seen a few others who do as well. I guess it just depends on how you feel your exertion level was..? Hope this helps!0 -
Just wanted to join the thread! Today I will be doing L1D4 and so far so good!
I'm a working mom of a 1 year old so this dvd is pretty much my only exercise that I'm able to fit into my schedule right now. I've already lost some weight just changing my eating habits so I want to add exercise to the regime now and tone up.
Thanks for the inspiration ladies... It's nice to talk to others who are doing the Shred while I am!0 -
Whoooo whee.... I had planned on doing L1D2 this morning after doing D1 yesterday. Definitely didn't happen!!! I am soooooooooo sore especally in my lower back and shoulders. I guess i lost the little progress I had made a few months ago when I quit shredding after D7 or so. I hope to get up early enough to do it tomorrow morning. The temp in VA has dropped about 20 degrees, so maybe if it stays in the eighties I can get more shredding done later in the day!0
-
L2D1 Done!! Wonder what i will feel like tomorrow?0
-
L1D3 shredded! I'm STILL sore! The lunges and handweight lifts towards the end of L1 are KILLING ME!0

Sooo I've been missing 30 day shred for 2 days instead, I'm doing Jillian's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and oh my...GOD! It's one tough workout. I can't even get to the end!!! Insane! It's a KILLER.0

Is it sad that I can't even remember which exercises you're talking about? I'm still whining over those V-flies in the last circuit of L2! Anyone else feel awkward doing the pendulum lunges in L2? I just feel like I can't get coordinated enough to do them properly.
Oh, L2D8 shredded!0 -
Well L2D4 and L2D5 are done(yesterday and today)!! I'm still struggling with the last circut but man am I sweatin' by the end! Does anyone else feel like they get a really great energy boost from doing this workout? I'm finding that if I do it too late in the evening I can't get settled for bed, so I'm trying to do it in the early afternoons.
Just wondering, when I'm at work my job doesn't really allow me time to take a full 30 min break or longer for lunch, I end uptaking shorter breaks more often. But this means that I really don't have time for a full lunch, I'm thinking of getting some protein bars so I can snack on one throughout my shift. Are some better than others? Any thoughts on all of this?0 -

Yes!! Horribly awkward!! LOL I feel like by the time I really get them going the circut is finished!0 -
L1D4 done yesterday! And I have to say that I'm getting alot closer to not taking any breaks. I did most of the side lunges with arm lifts at the end which is a huge jump from where I was when I started.
Just wondering how often everyone takes breaks? I have done 4 days straight and I think I will do today and then take a rest day.0 -
Did L2D2. I'm surprised I am not more sore! It is tough! It will take me a while to get it right! As for breaks, usually my schedule picks the breaks for me. In fact it has taken me 18 days to get in 12 days of shredding. The next 7 days look pretty promising! After that i will be on a cruise for 11 days. :drinker: I plan to hit the gym most of those days! It will be interesting to see how all of that plays out! Meanwhile I figure I had better take advantage of the full week ahead!0

L1D4. Still tough, but I've noticed that I can complete more reps without pausing, so I'm pleased! Maybe soon I'll get all the way through?!0

Hi everyone! Just found this thread. I've completed L2D8 and LOVING this workout!!
Little bit about myself: I am 26 years old and mom to a beautiful 10 month old girl! Was a gym-aholic before getting pregnant, but due to being sick a TON, I didn't really work out much at all during pregnancy. SO...I gained about 50 pounds and have been struggling to get it off! As a mothers day gift, I got a jogging stroller which I LOVE and use almost daily to run for about 2 miles with my daughter. This helped me shed some weight, but then I got stuck in a rut and wasn't losing any more. SO, I bought the 30 day shred as I had heard only good things about it, and have been doing it for 8 days strait now and am totally in love! Since I never have time for the gym anymore, this let's me get in a good workout at home! SO...hoping to lose all the baby weight and more AND build up some muscle! So far I've lost 6 pounds since starting the shred! Has me more motivated than ever!
Hoping to make a few friends and help motivate you guys! Let's do it!!!0 -
L1D2 finished! I couldn't even do the first two days without a break in between. I did D1 on Tuesday and D2 today. I still wish I hadn't stopped shredding back in March b/c I would have finished my 30 days already. The hardest part of L1 for me is the push ups (UGH) and the anterior raises at the end of circuit 3. I am going to try for D3 tomorrow!0

Welcome to the thread, kistinbee! I'm glad you're seeing such great results from 30DS -- it gives me hope!0 -

Oh, L2D8 shredded!
The V-files kill me. I did L2D7 today. Shin splits are better... I really think it was the Wii EA Sports 45 Day Challenge.0 -
psyched to start L2 this weekend!0

I just started the 30 day shred today, although I was still sore from an hour of circuit training i did three days ago. It went well, we have a camping trip to go on starting August first and I want to be down another 10 lbs! I am planning on doing 30 day shred every day and walk/jog or run 3 days a week with the p90x stretch on sundays. My calorie goal is 1200 a day! Good luck to everyone! See you at the finish line!0

Another day in! L2D3. My Pirifomis muscle is really hurting these days. Anyone else bothered by that? It's the little deep muscle in your butt. Mine was already aggravated before but in L2 it seems to be getting worse! I just have been stopping to stretcha a bit and keep going!:grumble: Hopefully it will mellow out. Love the workout besides that!! Great work all of us!! :flowerforyou:0

I really want to start the 30 Day Shred. I started it a few months ago, but my milk production went down (breastfeeding my 6 month old) so I had to stop. I can only do low impact kinds of things, so I've been bellydancing, but it just doesn't get the results I want! I just wanted to bookmark this so I can come back to it after my little guy is weaned. Good job all of you guys for working through this, it's a pretty brutal workout!0
