    Count me in, I am aiming for 10k, in addition to any non step workouts I may do. I have a ways to go yet today, but we are heading to dancing :)

    edited bec i found my fitbit hadn't actually synced when i got the first number. next time i'll be more sure before posting.

    You could log it in as a walk and then how many minutes or miles you went! I just logged in a walk today and that is how I ended up doing it! I am excited to join you on this journey!

    I have left my goal at 12,000. I am not carrying my step counter when I bike or I am at the beach and I hope to do some of both this month.

    Argh, it only logged about 3k for two hours of dancing! Must be due to the smoother style, as I have seen it log that much in one hour of lindy class, which involves quite a bit of watching and listening to the instructors. Heck, it logged 100 just walking from the car to the house when we got home just after midnight!

    I'd like to try again this month! I had a goal of 430 000 steps last month and fell pretty short (399 655). So this months goal is to surpass May at the very least and to hopefully hit 430 000. My days can range from 2800 steps to 35 000 steps - I have to focus on increasing those lower step days.

    I need to get back into using my step counter and my steps are set at 10,000 but I find it disappointing when I don't reach that 10,000 step goal and this is why I've stopped wearing my step counter. Anyone with any suggestions as to what would be best for me to do.

    I would suggest starting with a lower goal. I know when I started I often had lots of days around 3,000 steps.

    I also had a step counter that just missed lots of steps and that was was disheartening. You might try a new step counter.

    As for increasing steps, I try to march or jog in place when I am waiting for something in the microwave, brushing my teeth or any other time that I would otherwise just be standing. Of course I only do that if I am alone ;)
