My area just got a TJs! I went and got the 12 grain crackers, apple cranberry jelly, and cookie butter. What are some *musts* that I should buy? Thanks!

whenever I do go there, I end up picking up fresh artichokes - they usually have the four for $2 something. which is generally the price I pay for one. Sure, they are on the smaller side, but it works for me... That seems to be constant... the rest, I can take or leave...0

I noticed this with persimmons. at wegman's, persimmons are $2.50 each! but they were only 69 cents at TJs.....smaller, but still0 -
Well, usually almond butter, but the last time is was really liquid. Other than that, I buy frozen food there - pretty reasonable. their produce is overpriced. I think they were good a few years ago, but their prices are pretty much the same as everyone else and the lines are idiotic.0

Well, I love my TJ’s! I get some specific things there on a regular basis:
- 50% Less Salt Dry Roasted Almonds (my favorite snack)
- TJ’s Low fat Cottage cheese - 1.5% milkfat (tastes much better than the standard grocery brands, IMO)
- TJ’s Hummus (also tastier than most)
- TJ’s unsalted Sardines in spring water (the only unsalted ones packed in water that I can find)

I find their single serving nut mixes to be handy. Enjoy the bigger and more varied frozen seafood section than a lot of stores. Easy to make frozen meals in a bag (Orange Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, etc.) that don't have a lot of junky ingredients. Their Tarte d' Alsace and Tarte Aux Champignons (like very thin pizzas but in the frozen app section) are quite tasty. Husband likes their bacon ends and pieces and entree salads and double gloucester cheese. I like the tiny angel food cake. The pumpkin bread mix is good. The produce is iffy in my area but if you are careful in the selection and eat it quickly there are bargains to be had.0

Now, the stuff for my kids and husband?
Vanilla and Raspberry yogurt
Freeze Dried Blueberries
Way More Chocolate Chip Cookies
Maple and Brown Sugar Shredded Wheat Cereal (like mini-wheats)

The dozen frozen assorted macaroons. Sooooo good, and only about 150 calories for three. I find a treat helps me stay on track now and then and the macaroons are so small and easier to moderate than, say, keeping a whole cake around.0

I really like that they have lightly salted nuts. Their lightly salted cashews are delicious. I also like their frozen foods and their spice grinders. Very reasonably priced.0

They have an egg white salad that I really like. It is pricey, but still, a decent lunch when paired with a wrap that I buy at Aldi's. When I know I have a tough week coming up, I buy five of them and know that my lunch is taken care of.
I also like their boxed wine.0 -
They have the cheapest light coconut milk around! (I'm talking 99 cents/can compared to $2.50 and up everywhere else.) I use it for my chia seed pudding.
Also, their sour cream & onion corn puffs are delicious, and the serving size is gigantic! They are amazing when you want a crunchy/salty type snack.
My kids love their pumpkin cereal bars, but they only have them for a limited time.0 -
Someone already mentioned their coffee which is delicious! I love all their dairy. My absolute favorite thing is their sprouted wheat breads. I have loaves in my large freezer all the time. Mmmm! I feel a sandwich calling to me now.0

Nothing. It's over priced, over crowded, and under staffed.0

Their Spicy Ranchero egg white salad is delish!
I also buy: Soy Milk, FF cottage cheese, Lite Kettle Corn snack bags, Ak Mok crackers, corn salsa, feta cheese, "healthy style" Canadian bacon, honeycrisp apples (bag), and cage free eggs.

I like the stacked eggplant parmesan. There's some Chinese chicken soup dumplings that are really tasty, and low cal to boot. I hear that some of the frozen french pastries are really nice, but I've not tried them.
Some of the other meals are really tasty, but I don't like they come in servings of 2, when I'm only 1. Also the joe-joes - I didn't like them at all. The filling was too stiff, and the cookies had an odd aftertaste. The same complaint I have with most products containing soy, but I don't think these had soy in them at all. Ah well.
Anyway, best thing is to go, pick up a couple of things that look interesting and just give them a try.0 -
their gluten-free pumpkin pancake mix
pumpkin butter
winter root vegetables (cheap, cheap, cheap!)
peanut butter and almond butter
dried fruit (the mangoes and persimmons are the best)
nuts
chicken sausage
gluten-free bread (cheaper than everywhere else)
I love TJ's! And love the suggestions of other things to try.0 -
Cookie butter
Frozen veggies
Cheese - especially brie and blue cheese crumbles
Kefir (strawberry only)
Greek yogurt
Flowers
South African Smoke (which they stopped carrying... GAH!)
Mini buns
Mini pitas
Gorgonzola gnocchi
Ginger "cat" cookies
