I'd rather eat the calories, but that's my personal preference.

I'm a fan of the wine and try to keep it to two glasses a night. My trainer says that it is okay in moderation, especially if you have the calories and are eating well and not doing this late at night.

I only have about ten to lose, and I bet if I gave up wine altogether, I would lose it quickly. But that's not going to happen! Moderation I can do. :-)

I drink 10 oz a day. (Two five ounce glasses) One bottle of wine is 25 oz so that's 2.5 days per bottle of wine.

    ...what?

Anyway, yeah I hope it's fine. I track my Vitamin C (instead of that stupid sugar metric that puts you over for eating a piece of fruit) to be sure that I'm eating plenty of fruits and veggies and not starving myself of nutrients to make way for the alcohol.

Mmm...wine! I say go for it if you have the room in your diet.

Something to keep in mind however, if you are following a low-carb diet. Alcohol (some) is low-carb or no-carb. That being said your body will burn alcohol calories first before burning fat. So it could stall your weight loss a bit. Got that tidbit from my nutritionist friend.

when "advance entering" my food intake for the next day on mfp -- i usually put wine in a few days per week. This way i work towards max calories (or just blow through it) inclusive of wine. I will gladly exchange a non-fat latte for wine (or beer) any day!
have a great one and enjoy!:drinker: :drinker:

It's counted as carbs but your body processes as fat and sodium. Keep that in mind and go enjoy your wine!

Do you have a source for that difficult-for-me-to-believe information?
