I second beatrice small and the diane g's outlander series. Also the bride series by nora roberts is contemporary and all 4 are addicting! She's great in all her books.

Also for a classic, must read Little Women, makes me cry every time!

Lately, I've been on a Dystopian kick, but I read anything and everything.

Some good recent reads similar to Walking Disaster:

On Dublin Street by Samantha Young
The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski
Wait for You by J Lynn
    Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

And for something a little smuttier:
    After Hours by Cara McKenna
    Omega Mine by Aline Hunter
    Star-crossed by Kele Moon

@silver_starI already read Persuasion. I liked it a lot. Isn't there a show called North and South. I remember seeing it on Netfix.

yes and its one of my favorite tv movies.

All of the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen's books are wonderful. Well written and very intelligent

Anne Bronte - The Tenant of Wildfell Hall
    Daphne du Maurier - Rebecca.
    E.M. Forster - A Room with a View
    Anna Karenina - Tolstoy
Elizabeth Gaskell - Wives and Daughters
    Charlotte Bronte - The Professor
Anne of Green Gables - L. M. Montgomery
Colleen McCullough - The Thorn Birds

I'll definitely look into those books. I enjoy reading books similar to beautiful disaster. I've read some Jane Austen. Have you read the Hunger games? You will probably like them.
