Im having a really hard time meeting my calorie goal. everytime i eat more than 800 calories i feel *kitten* about myself but i know i need to eat more to lose weight.

    Is this a troll post?

There isn't a human alive that won't lose weight on 800 calories a day. If you're not losing weight, you're eating a lot more than 800 calories/day.

Uh no. This isnt a troll post. And yeah its totally normal to not lose weight while not eating enough. Starvation mode kicks in and my metabolism slows down even more thus causing me to stay the same weight or actually gain weight because when i eat my body will store the nutients and fat so it can survive. So take your ignorance some where else.

Perhaps you should learn about "starvation mode" as you think it exists and follow your own advice in the final sentence of your post quoted here.

People who think they might have a small problem with food almost always do. By the time they admit they have a problem, they're usually anorexic.

The life of an ED person gets worse and worse because it affects your brain. Alcoholics sober up. They have clear times and drunk times. The anorexic's problem is constant. They never think clearly. They can't...because their brain isn't working. It's starving, just like the rest of them. This lack of good brain function - it makes it worse, not better.

Depression, anxiety, confusion, forgetfulness, loneliness, apathy, sorrow, a smidge of paranoia and a lot of general misery - that's the life of an anorexic. It's not romantic.

When food gets tied up with emotion, it's time to take action.

SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Get a referral to a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. Learn everything you can about nutrition, either from a dietitian or in a class, if you're in school.

Take this seriously. Don't do the, "Oh, I might have issues, but I cannot have an eating disorder!" thing. Don't play around. If you play with fire, you might get burned.

Take all the action possible to prevent yourself from getting worse and do it now.

So anorexia is the only problem people can have with food?

As stated, go see a doctor. Nothing we can help you with. I've been there. Lost a ton of weight, but guess what? It came back. It's all mental at this point, and you gotta fix that before you can fix your outside.

LOL ... really, go do some homework. Again, follow your own advice since you are the one repeatedly demonstrating ignorance of the subject. If anything you were saying was remotely true, those with eating disorders would never get thin ... those truly starving would never get thin ... reality contradicts you. Now go learn.

+1 to all those saying go and get professional help.

You dont say how much you weigh or your height.

Your ticker says you need to lose 41lb. from what weight to what weight.

If by some chance you are actually 41lb over weight then you didnt get there by eating at a deficit or maintenance. Its not a weak thing to do to go and seek help , but in your case its probably very wise and essential because you dont see your problem the way it comes across to everyone else.

As you say yourself you have a mental disorder, so its very hard for you to see things how they really are.
