    Only if you ate 42,000 calories over your maintenance over the past couple of days. If this were the case, you would have averaged 21,000 calories over maintenance... Not real likely.

    If you were in feast mode (as most of us are this time of year), your body will take in quite a bit of water weight. Given that you have lost like 40 lbs, your body may have lowered its normal metabolic weight somewhat... By consuming more than usual during the last couple of days, your body has gone into an adjustment... Most of this will be lost during the next couple of days. Just return to your normal routine and you will be fine.

  • Nah, I freak myself out all the time like that, but it's just water and sodium. Don't panic, you're still right on track. :)

    In my experience it can take a good bit more than a few days. More like a few weeks. It seems unfair that it can go on in days but takes weeks to leave! But maybe that's hormones for me.

    I Weighed myself this morning, and the weight I put on is gone already. So there is hope for you OP :D
