Tell me the food staples you keep in your home!

Options
What are your low calorie food staples? Let's make a list. I'll start, you add on to it and we'll benefit from it - hopefully by learning some new ideas from one another :)

1) microwave popcorn
2) No sugar added hot chocolate
3) Can soup (I like Amys vegan soup, i. e., lentil, no chicken noodle, black bean stew)
4) protein shakes and bars (for something to grab and go)
5) microwave frozen vegetable steamers
6) tilapia and shrimp (frozen)
7) sriacha (for low Cal dipping)
8) fiber one brownies (curb my sweet tooth after dinner)

So there is a peek into some of my low calorie staples! What are yours??

    I need to eat more fresh fruit for dessert instead of fiber one brownies. I having been eating pescatarian (only fish and shellfish for meat sources) for years, so that's where the shrimp and fish filets come in.

    You've got a lot of staples in your home! Since it is just me and my fiance, I don't keep a lot of food at one time, but always have the staples I listed above. I was thinking of making sweet potatoes a regular staple, but do not like to eat them plain. How do you incorporate them into your diet?

    I've heard peppermint can curb cravings. I'll have to try it in a tea.

    There's but only so many ways to eat chicken. What can I do I don't eat too many kinds of fish. Don't eat shell fish either

    I forgot to include almond milk in my list. And what do you do with tofu? I have made a scramble once, but haven't found any other appealing recipes

    I like tilapia in a marinade of garlic, a teaspoon of oil, and lots of freshly cracked pepper. You can also get encrusted filets from the frozen section of Safeway or Vonns, if there is a location near you. My favorite is the waterfront bistro brand's Macadamia Nut Encrusted. It is delicious and under 230 calories for a large, filing filet.

    Laughing Cow Light cheese wedges
    Water flavoring for when I think I need a soda
    Beef jerkey
    Snack packs of treats I like, they are already portioned and I will eat only one instead of mindlessly grabbing from a bigger bag
    Wheat pasta
    Bunch of spices
    Olive Oil
    Greek Yogurt - I use it in place of sour cream
    Tuna and salmon packets
    Oatmeal packets
    Protein powder
    Honey
    Lemon and lime juice
    Refrigerated bread dough

    Sweet potatoes - cut into small chunks put in ziploc bag and some olive oil then choose between sweet or spicy. If sweet I add some cinnamon and shake up, if spicy add some smoked paprika and ancho chili powder. Cook on 350 for about 20 minutes. Sometimes I will drizzle honey on the sweet potatoes when I have decided I want them to be sweet instead of spicy.

    I have to buy one separate every day. If I buy 2, that means I'm eating 2 that day. No questions asked, ha.

    Love this idea! I wonder if it would be good with a little sriacha topping. I am obsessed with sriacha!
