Does anyone have a go to treatment or work around for a sore toe? I have one that feels like I dropped something on it (didn't) and I didn't notice it hurting until well after my race last Sunday. I have tried moleskin and a band-aide and it is just sore. The nail is reddish (not purple or black) and it is my middle toe and not one I would usually have issue with.0

Mentally I was hoping to get maybe 12 miles today before my rest period coming up next week. I think that rest is definitely due because I was dog tired after 10 and pushed myself to get just shy of 11.

I've never had any other problems with toes, but I've also heard about the black nail thing fabnine mentioned.

@fabnine and @_nikkiwolf_ - Thanks for the info on the toe. I have had the issue with a nail turning black and eventually coming off. I had too small shoes for running initially and had it happen after my first half. This feels different and is a different toe but I did discover that there is a hard piece of something in my shoe above this toe so maybe it is hitting on it. I will try some antibiotic cream and see if it helps, it certainly can't hurt at this point! I have found I need to make sure my sock is pulled loose around it because it can make it really hurt otherwise!

1/16/2015: 3 treadmill and 3 treadmill - competing against my brother. I failed in the morning and went back to try again in the afternoon. Beat his time by 27 seconds.
1/19/2015: 1 mile on the treadmill in my brother's gym about 10 seconds slower than his. My lungs finally feel a bit better. That was the dustiest nasty treadmill I hope to ever use. There are ruts worn into the platform that made my run feel like I was running in an icy wheel rut. But the rock salt and dust was worse than the bumpy ride. Ugh.
