EDIT: Holy cow, those pictures are huge! Sorry!
Stats: Female, 31 years old, 5’5.5,” highest weight: 210 pounds (while pregnant), current weight: 131 pounds
Easter 2008 – somewhere between 145-155, decided to try WeightWatchers for the zillionth time
June 2009 – 140 pounds after doing WW intermittently (and hating every minute of it)
Dec 2010 – 11 months after giving birth – between 150-155 pounds
Feb 2011 – 7 weeks pregnant with twins – between 140-145 pounds
Sept 2011 - 36 weeks pregnant with twins (2 days before delivering) – 210 pounds
Dec 2011 (in flowery shirt) – had joined MFP 3 weeks prior. 165 pounds
March 2012 – Discovered I could actually do something as crazy as learn how to run (and enjoy it!). This is after my first half-marathon (2:28:56). 157 pounds
April 2012 – first date night after having the twins! 156 pounds
July 2012 – 29th birthday – 151 pounds
Late July 2012 – had just discovered what people on MFP referred to as “heavy lifting” and I bought adjustable dumbbells to try it out
Sept 2012 – twins are 1 year old, and it turns out I’m 6.5 weeks pregnant once again. 145.5 pounds
Dec 2012 – 22 weeks pregnant, going to a 5k Jingle Jog (40:01). Weight unknown, but weighed 179 pounds by the end of the pregnancy
May 2013, 5 weeks post-partum – read all about heavy lifting with a barbell and convinced my hubby to buy me one after the baby was born. Tried out Stronglifts 5x5 and never looked back! 155.5 pounds
Nov 2013 – Finished 2nd in my age group in a Superhero 5k (28:12) – 145.5 pounds (pre-pregnancy weight!)
Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 4-miler (36:09) - 142.5 pounds
Dec 2013 – 10k Bridge Run (1:03:41) – 142.5 pounds. 2.5 pounds heavier than my 2nd picture at the top of this post, but what a difference physically! That’s what happens when you slash calories to the extreme and skip exercising vs. eating at a moderate deficit and working out.
Starting to notice some muscle from lifting! – 141.5 pounds.
Feb 2014 – getting some definition in my shoulders! – 137 pounds
April 2014 – youngest baby is 1 year old – Ronald McDonald House 5k (27:02) finished 1st in my age group! – 135.5 pounds
June 2014 – 3 pregnancies, 4 children age 4 and under, and I’m seeing some definition for the first time in my life!!! – 135.5 pounds
Oh yeah, that’s thanks to my lovely power cage and barbell
Nov 2014 – completed my 2nd half-marathon (1:59:25) – 133 pounds
Counting calories (averaging 1700-1900 calories/day), running, and lifting heavy have given my body a better physique than I’ve ever had in my life, great self-confidence in all areas of my life, and I have boundless energy to keep up with my 4 small, amazing kiddos! I’ve reached goal weight and am now focused on continuing to lower my body fat percentage, increase weights on the barbell, and increasing my speed in running. Thanks to MFP and my lovely friends on here!
