    If it were up to me, I would make a TV show and movie from this cartoon strip, and make a studio a ton of money. There are years of story lines, available for both. It would be extremely successful. Think of all the adults who grew up on this, and now have kids to introduce to the comic strip.

    Bill Watterson made his position clear from the onset: he did not wish to see his creations commercialized. He does not allow licensing of his images. Technology has advanced dramatically for visual arts so perhaps it would be possible to do justice to the wild imagination of Calvin... but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Pity.
