Hmm, I'm thinking I need to get a Hobbes doll and put a black tie on him to bring him as my date to the next formal event I go to...would be better than going alone, like usual...

Ohhhhh.... thank you, @UncleMac ! I can't crochet yet but I bought a book to learn from... and I see that on that page there's a link to a knitting pattern as well. :)

There's my resolution for 2017 - this year, in one form or another, I shall make my own Hobbes!

    That's a pretty awesome resolution!!

You could fashion 1, via duct type; yourself!

Thanks @UncleMac - sadly I only know how to crochet granny square blankets, though I have done a few freehand scarves. Never tried to follow a pattern before. Might be a good project to attempt...at some point.

That is about the same level of understanding and compassion I got from my sisters. Explain to me again how women are the gentle & caring ones while we men supposedly lack such refinement? LOL

The closest I've come to crochet is when i used to make and repair netting... and that was +30 years ago...

I meant it as a suggestion, not an insult; since men're pretty good with using duct tape & your Sisters' refuse to, create 1 for you; so that at least you've 1!
