    My wife is hot! When I met her in college she was 20 years old 5'9" and weighed 165 lbs- Five kids, 20 years a crohns disease diagnosis and multiple surgeries later, she now weighs in at 120 lbs soaking wet, and she is still beautiful to me.     Are you saying what makes these two people love one another after 20 years is a piece of paper? Like he wouldn't love her anymore and would have left if they were not married? What?

    I didn't take it that way. I think what was meant is that some couple only go through the motions and neglect each other. I don't think it was meant as a commentary about the institution of marriage.

    My wife is a size 2-4 and quite athletic. She also lifts weights. That's not why I'm madly in love with her after 21 years together though. And no, I'm not posting pics.

    Maybe what this person is trying to say is that they have shared a lot of things that people living together would not feel compounded to share if they were not married.
