This documentary helped convince me to completely change my diet. It gets a little heavy on the biochemistry, but well worth it. I highly recommend it:

Pediatric Neuroendocrinologist Dr. Robert Lustig lectures on the poisonous properties of fructose.
**Disclaimer: After some highly intellectual debate found below, I think it's safe to say there are a few people who disagree with me. To each his/her own. Rock on.**

Lustig is a quack and has been called out many times.
You know what my favorite documentary is?
That mermaid one on the the Discovery channel.0 -
I'll see your Lustig and raise you Aragon:

Lustig fails to account for context or dosage (large enough amounts of anything are poisonous, even water). That kind of fear mongering is not helpful.0 -
Sorry you feel that way Phoenix... but, I do think you've got the right idea: stick with cartoons. They seem to suit you.
LiftHeavy -- I'll check out these links. I agree fear mongering isn't helpful, but I do think he has some valid points. I'll check out the links you sent and see what additional info they have to offer. Thanks!-3 -

Dr LOLstig? Might want to do some more objective research0 -
"Anvil: The Story of Anvil" taught me much more about dieting than the one mentioned above, and knowing it had nothing to do with nutrition, that says a lot.0

Here is the latest "fructose is the devil" study torn apart

OK, I've changed the title of this post so it more accurately reflects the content.
If you think I'm totally wrong, please post your research. I'm curious. Thanks!0 -
For me, I guess I need to see the topics at hand before sitting through over an hour and this guy never really getting to any point.
Who drinks/eats 64 lbs of sugar a year? That's over half my weight. This guy put me in a category that is in correct. Where's the science in that?0 -

64lbs sugar / year = about 80 grams per day. I don't think that's too out of reach for a lot of people who don't track their sugar intake

People who listen to Lustig as a source for their information are what is ruining the human race.0

YOU GUYS ARE MEAN. I'M GOING HOME.
Ok, ok... obviously, my post is not well received. I apologize for ruining five minutes of your day.
But, on a more productive note, I'm happy to read stuff that you guys post proving that Lustig is full of it. Seriously. I'm game to be proven wrong. If you have the time and feel like it, post away!0 -

If sugar does what Lustig claims it does I would not be where I am now.
And by the way, it's an anime.0 -
Thanks to everyone who cited research; I'm reading it now and it's interesting0
