Just do it. Swimming is such great exercise and no one gives a rats *kitten* about how others look. They're worried about themselves.0

Another great thing about swimming is that it supports your body. If excess pounds are a burden on your back or your knees, it's easier on your body to swim. My parents are in their early 80s and still take water aerobics classes.
