Try jogging a few miles to get the tea. Or putting the tea in an 8-pound cup.0

I've heard green tea has health benefits and I drink it to help stave off hunger, but no idea if it magically burns fat, increased metabolism, etc.0

If drinking unsweetened tea keeps you from drinking sugary drinks, then it can be a total godsend. I like iced green and black tea, and also like to try out different kinds of hot teas. Celestial Seasonings has some yummy fruity teas to try, if that's up your alley. They taste great hot or cold. Sometimes I add lemon, honey, ginger, or spices. Tea is like my life force, whether it's caffeinated or not. It keeps me grounded and helps me kick cravings.
That being said, there's no specific kind of tea that is going to burn fat. The antioxidant properties of some teas are higher, green and white teas specifically, but they aren't going to burn fat for you.
Some people swear that certain herbal teas work wonders for their sleep, anxiety, blood pressure, colds, water retention, etc. but most of these claims are not backed up by science. You could venture into trying herbal teas, but there's no guarantee that they will help you lose weight.0 -
What on earth happened to the magical world of MFP misinformation that I used to know? Not complaining. Just surprised and impressed.
In for magical herbal unicorn tea with crumbled pixie dust.0 -
While you're at it, be sure to pick up a bottle of Snake Oil, please.0

I will keep it short! From The Journal of Nutrition "Oolong tea has been studied for its antioxidant properties (2) and its effects on cardiovascular disease (3), cancer (4) and obesity (5). In a recent study, 102 Chinese women who drank four cups of oolong tea per day (the brew from four 2 g tea bags) lost over a kilogram of body weight during a 6-wk period (6). These data suggest that oolong tea may promote weight loss by increasing energy expenditure (EE)2 10–20%". You can read the whole article at http://jn.nutrition.org/content/131/11/2848.full There have been studies in China and Japan which have substantiated that tea can assist in weight loss. The best to you.0

Right after I posted to this thread, I took a big sip of my tea and burned the ever loving HECK out of my mouth. Still hurts, I can't imagine eating a thing for quite some time.
So, yeah. I've discovered effective weight loss tea. I'm starting a MLM company tomorrow. Get in on the ground floor and become a consultant! Remember, you're not selling tea, you're selling OPPORTUNITY.0 -
